I am not the one kneejerking over a French stadium with a higher capacity than ours. It was a silly post.

Maybe it was silly, but I still think the post had a point. When a French club like Lille builds a bigger stadium than us, it is a bit sad. We are the better club, and we should be able to think bigger and build a larger stadium.

We have a state of the art stadium that pulls in 35+m euros a season that sells out every game (even Coppa). Let me know when Lille pulls in that kind of income as a result.

Having a large stadium that doesn't sell out is the worst. Terrible atmosphere. Looks bad on TV. You lose sound of the fans. If you can fill up 60K every game then GREAT but if you can't, don't bother with that stadium.

Fans like atmosphere. A full 35K seat stadium is wayyyy better than 40K fans in a 60K stadium
