Sony will partner with Juventus in 2010/2011 season, under an agreement signed recently.
The agreement sees SONY Juventus back in the family, after a major partnership in the '90s, includes a collaboration project linked to the new stadium: the provision of four LED screens that will enrich the architecture of the system, from 2011-2012 season. The large screen will display scores, commercials, action, and other video before, during and after the match, thanks to a dedicated software. But, starting this season, Sony came with its TV screens in the locker room of the team at the Olympic Stadium and the training center and offices of the technical staff of the Juventus Training Center in Vinovo.
The decision stems from the desire shared by the two companies to introduce advanced technologies and solutions, to make the experience of fans in the stadium even more compelling. In this perspective, the draft of the new Juventus stadium represents a major technological challenge and a must for a brand such as Sony, a leading commercial and consumer innovation.
Thanks to the partnership, Sony will make a series of rights that include public relations events (skybox and walk about the stage, implementation conventions and events) and activate reward initiatives on its own network.
Jean-Claude Blanc, CEO and general manager of Juventus, said: "The supply agreement with a partner like Sony, the world's leading companies, the Group consolidates its relationship with Sony already started last season with a SONY ERICSSON. We are very pleased, therefore, the choice of synergy to strengthen the relationship with a leader in the field of communication and technology, which it shares with Juventus a company philosophy geared to constant growth and a focus on major challenges such as the construction of new stadium '
Gildas Pelliet, President and Chief Executive of Sony Italy, commented: "Sony has long been active in the sports world and especially in football, where, internationally, is a sponsor of FIFA and UEFA Champions League and helped this year to realize the first World Cup in South Africa in 3D. This partnership reflects the desire to support the football club off the field, to provide innovative solutions to create cutting-edge sports facilities, which can become gathering places, where live sport is not only during the 90 'of the match, with a view to full entertainment.
