I find it hard to believe they would only become aware of this error months into construction. I imagine for jobs this large and expensive all the people involved would have routinely rechecked their designs.

Yeah I find it hard to believe myself. However the guy who owns the website nuovostadiodellajuventus.iobloggo.com seems more than sure about it. It is the most comprehensive site about the new stadium on the web and is updated almost daily. Btw, this is the website where most of the pictures of construction posted here come from.

Other than that I don't know the guy's credentials. Hopefully he's wrong and I had a fit for no reason earlier.
