Yep, 35-40m + 15m for the naming rights this year + Season ticket sales + increased matchday and commercial revenue means this stadium is going to be a real goldmine for us. Baring in mind no other team in Italy will benefit from anything remotely close to this and you have to say that JCB did a fantastic job of building us financial foundations.

Last year we had to pay rent and had massively lower revenues from the stadium, so we could be looking at a net increase of something like 200% minimum on last year... pretty impressive stuff
I think we signed a €75m deal over 15 years with Sportfive. It's impressive when the club spent €105m on building the stadium.

No worries my friend, Fonda and Bronson

True classic mate! Amazing soundtrack but thats to be expected with Morricone!
Hah, just a few pages ago I was recommending one of his songs (albeit from a different picture) for the stadium. Really love the Leone+Morricone team, next up will be Once Upon a Time in America I think.

The ticket prices in England are ridiculously high at some clubs. For example, Chelsea, Spurs, etc have higher match day income than Borussia Dortmund due to the difference in ticket prices. 35-40m is small in comparison, but it will always be unless they raise their prices, which would not be as successful in Italy.
The English clubs I can understand, it's Real Madrid that are absolute giants for match day revenue. Have no idea if they charge similar ticket prices though.

15m from naming rights? Where are you getting this number from? Off the top of my head, we get something like 6m a year from the sportfive deal, who in turn will make a profit after finding a company willing to pay for the naming rights (the deal will have to be more than the total amount they are paying to us, which explains our lack of sponsor atm imo, as who would pay big money on a long term deal for a club who missed out on CL 2 seasons in a row).

People don't forget that even though we don't pay any rent as the owner of the new stadium we now have to pay for all utilities, insurance, water, electricity, interest on the loans we took to build the stadium and all other costs related to keeping the entire compound functional and pleasing to look at. Just because we don't pay rent anymore does not mean we eliminated costs. We just accrued new ones. I think Juve built the new stadium to raise income, not to reduce costs (which might actually be higher, believe it or not).

I'd like to see a comparison of profits not income when it comes to owning this stadium (or if you are into finance, NPV)
:agree: it will all depend on the official numbers

Costs will definitely be there, but they won't be significant and I think that our menagment is capable of handling them. Through ticket prices , selling food and drink, fan shops around stadium, stadium name nad other, they will maximize match day revenue. They think of earning somewhere around 30-35 millions ( 20-25 M match day, 11 M season tickets, couple of mils from food, drink, souvenirs...). Last year we paid 250 000 for renting, and stadio Olimpico costs are 850 000 per year. Here are some details about Olimpico.

I would think that was actually quite realistic. Prices for the milan game are here

I would imagine that 1.7m also includes match day revenue? So things like snacks and drinks, merchandising @ the stadium etc which could explain the gap. Pretty awesome statistic if the season ticket sales would be on top of that, which it looks as though they are
It doesn't. The numbers that are made public are "gate receipts".

They're expensive. Does anyone remember the prices for the old stadium?
They're still more or less the same. The difference between the ticket prices for the Milan or Inter game and all others is massive though. Depending on the section of the stadium, prices rise 60-70%.

I remember paying 50€ for a Curva ticket back in Delle Alpi when we were playing Milan, 90€ for a ticket against Inter in the Olimpico (Tribuna Est, but not the "centrale"), ...
Prices have definitely not gone up.

I don't know if this has been asked before, but can Juventus increase capacity if for couple of years stadium is sold out, and if so what's the limit of an increase? I think in England Man utd inceased theirs for around 15 000 seats, so is it possibility?

Someone on the board said it can structurally add in about 15K seats down the road.

yeh, 55k is perfect. But right now i can accept the 41k seats we have.

After this season we can check if the number is too low or is ok.

Keep the 41k capacity until tickets are torn away and thousands of fans can't find seats. When we get like 10k people per game who try to buy a ticket without any luck, then we should increase the capacity.

If we keep playing like this, that could well be in two seasons time though.

It would be great, 55000 is more appropriate for a club of our stature. Is there any link to this statement?
I'm going buy the trust of members of this forum. I don't have any concrete evidence of any possible expansion of the stadium.

I agree. Juve have to create a demand before doing anything like spending money on an expansion. This team has been famous for playing games in empty stadiums in the past so let the demand come.

It's true and it was very sad to see empty stands. I never figured out what's the real reason. Turin has almost 1 million population and the whole region Piedmont has almost 4.5 millions. Maybe poor visibility in the past stadiums was the reason for that, or the fans were somewhat spoiled with good results in 90ies because after that our average attendance decreased for every season. I'm happy with current status but I have hope that in future every game is sold out and that our stadium have possibility for expansion.

If you knew this why would you like to see an extra 15K seats?

Also, the reason for this is because Juve isn't the number 1 team in Torino. The Toros are the team most followed by the locals. Alot of Juve's fanbase is located in Southern Italy and abroad.

I just asked if there is posibility for expansion. It would be nice to see 55000-60000 fans. Right now I'm satisfied but in future as we always seek for better things for our club, better performance, bigger attendance, more money, it's just logical step forward for us to have bigger stadium. Don't get me wrong, I like it right now and given the fact that Giraudo originally intended building 35000 seater 10 years ago I'm pleased. And that other thing about Torino and their popularity, out of 4.5 million there should have been enough people for higher attendance in the past.
