Because it's the same babble you get routinely about how the "male role" has been "destroyed" by "evil modern society". I didn't have to read more than 2 pages to confirm this, but even the title alone is a really clear indicator.
The guy has or had an identity crisis. He's blaming that... on other people for being told "the wrong things". Then he said to himself "if only I had listened to my selfish instincts in the first place", which apparently he was either too scared to do or too confused because he misunderstood the intention of people who told him otherwise, now he's decided to do it. Fine. That doesn't mean there's grand wisdom in your little mental adventure.

What this guy wrote is no different from the same drivel that is fed to women in Cosmo and other "must read" books. Or on Sex on the City. Some person who's gone through a difficult time thinks he/she's discovered "the great answer" and sanctimoniously wants to make sure everyone reads about it.

Here's something to think about. Other people like Jack here are not trying to tell you how to coexist with women. You are the one trying to tell us. So maybe that should be a signal to you, eh? Maybe it's time to consider that you are the one with the problem since you can't get it off your mind, and not us.
