Four friendly matches left (today at Pescara against Roma, on August, 12th at the Trofeo Birra Moretti, then the “Berlusconi” Trophy on the 14th and finally the classic ‘family’ match at Villar Perosa on the 17th) before starting the official season: on August, 20th at 21.00, Juventus and Inter will meet at the Delle Alpi for the 18th edition of the Supercoppa di Lega.

It is this season’s first official match and, for the Bianconeri, winning would mean reach Milan on top of the book of records, with five wins; since its first edition in 1988, Juventus conquered the Supercoppa four times, in 1995, 1997, 2002 and 2003, compared to the only one won by Inter in 1989.

To reach the first target of the year, Juventus are mobilizing their supporters, by keeping the same policy and aim adopted during the season ticket campaign: low prices and a crowded stadium. The prices of the tickets, which will be on sale as of tomorrow, Tuesday, August, 9th, at Lottomatica stores or through the official website www.juventus.com , are really competitive. 10 Euro for the Curva and sectors Est 1st and 2nd levels, 15 Euro for the Ovest sector 1st level and only 25 Euro for the Poltroncine Blu.

Bianconeri fans, don’t miss it: Juventus want to start winning right away and to do so, they need you.

“I liked Roma; their coach’s touch showed, as they have a clear idea of play. And like any team playing against Juventus, they played harder than usual; we too, though, proved to be a very strong team, while we were quite fresh.”

Gigi Buffon liked the Juventus seen against Roma; that against the Giallorossi was an important test, which is about to be followed by some others: the Trofeo Moretti tonight, Friday, and the “Berlusconi” trophy on Sunday: “Well, [tonight’s] will be two ‘peculiar’ matches since they’re 45-minute long and it is not certainly like playing a whole match. Anyway, we’ll play with determination as we want to put up a good show, also because we’ll have a harder test on Sunday. All these matches must help us reach the right condition to play the Supercoppa on August, 20th.”

And it’s the very Supercoppa that is about to give the first clues on the upcoming championship: “Undoubtedly, should we win, that would only be a confirmation, while should Inter win, this may boost them further to do well in the championship. Experience teaches us how, a few months later, no one will remember the Supercoppa anymore and they’ll be concentrated on the moment they’ll be living, but despite that I’d still love to win the trophy: so far, I’ve won the three matches I’ve played in Supercoppa and I’d like to go on like this”.

Chances are good as, according to Gigi too, Juventus are even stronger than last year: “We’ve got a champion like Vieira who’s a world-level professional, capable of making the difference and we also have alternatives of the same top level, players who would be first-choice anywhere: yes, we’re even stronger.”

If nothing inexpected happens we should take this win against Inter with relative ease. We always play well against then and mostly we win.
Last year when we were up 2-0 and they came back for 2-2, they were lucky and when we lost with 1-0 we were clearly the better team all thru the match. And this year we beat them 2-0 in 45 min. I expect a tougher Inter but at the same time a tougher juventus. Im going to be bold and say we win 3-1.

And frankly we have a better squad then they do.

I'm sick of black-blue stripes.
The first thing Figo said when he arrived there was "I'm looking forward to confront Juventus in Supercup".
It looks that he tug that problem from real fvckin' madrid.

to me inter is the same team like last year
wtf? figo and samuel are supposed to save them?
they both suck
Figo has great motive against us,so he will give his maximum.
Samuel...I've never respect that guy, esp. when he left roma and join real madrid.
I think that inter changed more than we are,and that Adriano-Martins will be very dangerous this season.

yeah Then u would not see the crap of napoli's penalties again !!
How he was against Napoli,I didn't have a chance to si him working?:)

Anyway,I'm sure that Carroll from Man Utd and Lehman from Arsenal are the worst keepers from the big clubs.

Cool . so you admit that english clubs are shity too ?
Chelsea is a great team now,but arsenal and man utd(liverpool as well) have a huge problem with the keepers.
I can't say that english clubs are shity,it is just a matter of taste,I prefer Italian football, but many others like english type of play.
