And the strange thing is, Materazzi seems to be voted as the man of the match. Even though I think he did a splendid job, I think Cannavaro should get the vote. He made Baros and Rosicky clueless. But I'm not going to debate about this, after all it is rare for Matrix to score and intercepted a Nedved shot

Materazzi surprisingly did well, not only he scored the goal he did not do any mistakes nor kill anyone..
Totti was ignorant. He tried to do the same lame trick twice on Cech.. Didn't move alot on the field. He did some nice passes though. But all in all, not impressive at all.
Camoranesi was very good.
Inazghi: Although he scored a goal he missed two easy chances. Especially the second one. I was going to ask for his head if he did not score that third chance. I'll give him a break because he did

Although Lippi knows better, I would've subbed Totti after 10 min from the second half and brought in Del Piero.
In the end, good game for Italy. Waiting for them to lift the cup on the 9th of July

Inzaghi should have scored 2goals atleast today. Thank god he scored one though.

saw the match, i would say a smart game from italy. too bad about nesta, hope his back soon, next game is already in monday.
Anyway as i said smart game, after red card ofcourse italy could have humilated czechs, scoring more, bringing more strikers to the pitch, but right now is not the time to give your 100%, there will be many more crucial games around, so they need to keep their energy somehow.

I know some of u might find this quite crazy but I'd rather Italia face Croatia in the next round rather than the Aussies.
I'm not eager on playing the greater underdog coz thats how Italy might fall. I also believe the Aussies are what I call a "Spirit team" in that they are the kind of teams that wont win the WC but are there to cause others' hearbreak by playing the game of their life when they meet a team like us.
