I agree there. Although I would like to stay in front of everyone else for most Coppas won. Just because it's fun to be ahead even there, in a competition where we play our 2nd team.

What about CL final + 2nd? Not knowing, of course, if we will win the final. If we get to CL semi's and get a decent opponent there, would you go all in for achieving CL final, even if we're in a tight scudetto battle with Napoli? Or would you focus on Say we get Real Madrid in semi's again, and other side is PSG-Barcelona? We'd face Carpi (H), Verona(A), Sampdoria (H) around the Semifinal legs. Would you rotate heavily and risk dropping points in hopes of making CL final in San Siro, losing scudetto potentially... or would you play full strength side in both competitions, potentially tiring players out and losing CL semifinal?
Priority should be CL in that scenario for sure, if you can get it, go for it.

I read that Inter forum from the halftime on and it's crazy how scared they are of Juve  They don't even care about Napoli or Viola being a point behind, but they're all "OMG OMG OMG Rube are only 3 points behind us".
I'm guessing they invested so much energy into laughing at us when we were like 15 points behind, that the thought of Juventus finishing ahead gives them a mental diarrhea.

If we win this scudetto before the final day, it will go down as the legendary moral uppercut to any team in italy.

Everything went wrong for juve, and they still won and it wasent close

Of course the main reason we're only 3 points away from the top is because we've been winning but it must be said that it's also because all the "top" clubs in Italy are unstable as fuck. At home, against the weakest team in the league... Doesn't matter, there's always a fair chance one of them will fuck up.

You look at that top 5 and not a single club there have what it takes to be as solid as we have for the last 4/5 years. We're taking advantage of that which is fucking great!
The league is weak as fuck at the top. People keep saying how strong Serie A is this year, but there really isn't a great team in the league. I mean, this could actually be a season where no one hits 80 points. Unlikely, but possible. Parity in the middle to top of the league is great, but there are no teams even close to being CL elite level right now, with us potentially improving enough to get that level over the year.

Roma somehow is worse than last year. Lazio has fallen off a cliff. Milan still sucks. Fiorentina is about the same level. We're worse but improving. Only Inter and Napoli really improved.

How many teams are top level CL elite right now? No English team, Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG and Juve. Please, don't belittle Serie A when the most expensive league can't provide a real contender for CL and is topped by Leicester.

Why all that disrespect for Serie A? It's fecking awesome league.

It just shows serie a is pretty hard, and we are head and shoulders above when things are normal.

We are back in balance after the disarray and look how we caught up in fucking no time
I'd say this shows that the top end of Serie A is weak as shit. Seeing as we had our worst start in history with an injured mess of a team and our coach seeming clueless as to how to put together a winning line-up -- the fact we're now 3 points out of first place after 6 weeks of good results means the top end of the league is filled with mediocre teams. Sure, the mid-table and minnow sides are tougher in Serie A than Bundesliga or La Liga, but the top end sucks, if the top team in the league right now is on pace for only 80-81 points in 38 games.

Let me kick this up a notch and add there actually aren't great teams in Football today, apart from Barcelona and maybe Bayern. It really has hit a new low. It's not only Serie A but it's been reflected everywhere in Europe.

If you think about it there aren't any teams in England that are "CL elite level", not even City. There aren't any CL elite level German clubs apart from Bayern, and the same goes for Spain and Barcelona.

Beppe has calculated everything from the start.

The mission is to win the league with 70-something points, to further troll our rivals and have Garcia commit suicide.

The poor start was all part of the plan :beppe:

I love this league. But the top of the league is filled with bad teams.

The Premier League is weak right now, very weak. But ManCity topped our group by ze way, even though we beat them twice. And there are 3 English teams in the Rof16. I mean. 15th place Chelsea managed to top their CL group with 13 points.

La Liga has Barca, Real, Atletico all currently better than anyone in Serie A imo. We will continue improving and pass Real and Atletico imo. But it hasn't happened yet, and they are both a country mile ahead of anyone else in Serie A.

:agree:

Spain is closest, with Barcelona obviously, and Madrid if they weren't stupid and actually kept hold of Ancelotti. Even Atletico is a very good team on our level certainly.

But the wild crash of top English teams is pretty hilarious. I mean the league was pretty great in CL from 2000-2010, and since then it seems to have crashed and burned. With all that money it's pretty crazy to think about.

The English teams, Real Madrid, and PSG all spend money in that retarded, unplanned way, often making unnecessary and redundant signings just to bring in star power.

Bayern and Barcelona actually plan their mercatos. Barcelona is willing to spend that ridiculous oil-type money, but only on the best players on this planet, like Suarez and Neymar. Whereas Madrid spend it on players like Bale and Rodriguez. ManU spends it on Di Maria and Martial. ManCity spends it on De Bruyne. The fact that those clubs would spend the same amount on significantly inferior players says it all.

Those 3 English teams are shit. Chelsea had a joke of a group and is, of course, shit.

To Real Madrid's standard this team is laughable, no matter if they scored 10 goals today. They've been losing matches left and right against the weakest of opponnents. I wouldn't say Atlético is anywhere close to a great team either. They're the Inter of Spain, getting close results with very lethargic performances.

What's left?

Losses against Sassuolo, Napoli, Roma and Udinese. Draws with Frosinone, Chievo and Inter in the first half of the season.

And yet we are only 3 points behind. Amazing turnaround from us. Scudetto well in sight again.

Well, look at the respective squads as if this were the start of a half-season. Spot Juve one match, and smart betting money would take Juve from here virtually every time.

Maybe money makes it harder for most of the teams nowadays. Maybe when a club like Roma, Atletico, Dortmund and etc manages to find and create a great player, some big money club will get him straight away for some crazy money. Maybe this player then can only take two paths - one is to be in a team with great tradition and motivation like Bayern and Barca, and work his ass to prove himself as one of the best in the world or end up in an EPL team and get lazy by the time going. Maybe the crazy money are making football so fecked up, but what do I know. And still Serie A is a tough league and even teams like Carpi, Frosinone and Sassuolo are putting a good fight. Heck, even Atalanta, Chievo and Lazio can easily become a pain in the аss. I love Serie A :touched:

They're all bad. But they're better than Inter, Roma, Napoli, Fiorentina. Seriously, I would pick 15th placed Chelsea to crush Roma if they had been matched up in CL. ManCity would beat any of those teams. Even Arsenal likely would beat them.

Madrid would smash any of them. So would Atletico.

As you said no great teams aside from Barca and Bayern, but the top teams in these other leagues would beat our top teams. Napoli is the closest to that CL level, and on their day could probably hang with many of those 2nd tier teams, but they're still missing something.

Most entertaining league in the world for sure, regardless of what I think about its relative strength. :D
