Parma break season ticket record
By Football Italia staff

Parma are rebuilding in the amateur Serie D, and have already sold a record-breaking number of season tickets.

The Ducali were declared bankrupt at the end of last season, and have been forced to start again at the amateur level as Parma Calcio 1913.

The city’s mayor has spoken of the need for the local populace to get behind the team as they work their way back to the professional ranks, and the fans have responded.

According the club’s website, 4,382 season tickets have been sold for the new campaign, after just three days of being on sale, breaking a record previously set by Siena.

President Nevio Scala and the new board set the goal of selling 4,000 of the tickets, with prices starting at just €25.

At the other end of the scale, €1,015 grants access to all league matches, cup games and friendlies, 20 per cent discount on official merchandise, a limited edition t-shirt, three Under-14 season tickets, free parking at Stadio Tardini during the week and clubhouse membership.

The stadium has a capacity of 27,906.

I hope Parma get back to the top quickly.

Good for them. The rebuilding project starts :touched:

To be fair breaking the season ticket record for Serie D isn't really something to be proud of.
Sometimes stuff like this can be hilarious though. Serie D is still a pretty decent level. Two years ago a Belgian club in our first divison was declared bankrupt and forced to play in 1ste Provinciale (1st regional league, basically the 5th level of our football). Generally I'd say there are about 400 fans at that level. They played in front of 10,000.

Nah, for Inter this season has to be great after spending this much. If they fail this year, it'd truly be a death blow, showing that not even with huge investments they're capable of achieving anything.
Yep, they desperately need CL next season. They went all in this season. If they fail to get CL, consequences will be harsh.

Anyway, after Calciopoli, I'll always pick Inter to lose and do worse against pretty much any team in the whole fucking world.

I hate Napoli, but I can almost support them on CL. The same with Fiorentina, Roma, even Milan, maybe. But Internazionale... never.

:D

i hate Milan as much as i hate Inter, their fake PR, the way they get away with everything, the fake classiness.....
Milan is fake but not in a harmful way. They are actually funny, specially when they aren't winning and are ran by the mafia.

Inter is a hypocrite institution, with hypocrite/delusional fans. No respect to them.

I quite fancy Inter to compete for the title. I expect Roma to drop out.
I don't know about the title. If any team wants to fight for the title, there are 2 premises: a considerable drop by Juve; a huge improvement at their team.

Both are far from being given, but this season definitely has higher odds than past years for it to happen.

Inter team, so far:

----------------Handanovic----------

Montoya-----Miranda------Murillo-----Santon

-----------------Medel---------------------

-------Kovacic------------Kondogbia--------

-------Jovetic-------------Shaqiri(Perisic)-----------

-----------------Icardi-----------------------

Bench: Carrizo - Nagatomo, Ranocchia, Juan Jesus, D'Ambrosio - Gnokouri, Guarin, Brozovic, Hernanes - Palacio, Biabiany

I'm aware that they have to offload heavily. But the problem is their players have high salaries and don't have much market (thanks again, Moratti). They are probably looking to offload Nagatomo, Guarin, Hernanes, Vidic, Dodô.

Their team looks good on paper (the Miranda deal still is a mystery to me, maybe Atletico knows something we don't know), but there are question marks:

- Is Murillo actually a good player? He seems to be, but that's far from being a given. Ranocchia sucks, Juan has potential but has been too irregular.

- Is Montoya a good player? He has the Barca seal which may hype him above what he is. He always looked mediocre to me. Haven't watched enough though.

- They need a LB. Santon is mediocre, Nagatomo is not a fullback, D'ambrosio is shit. They are talking about Criscito. I'm not sure how could they pay for this guy though.

- Midifield looks pretty strong. Medel can offer proper protection. Kondogbia has a lot of potential but that's all we know. Kovacic still developing.

- Jovetic is obviously a huge question mark here, regarding his heath. If healthy, he'll be a very good trequartista for them, something they desperately needed, creativity.

- If Shaqiri remains, have to see how he will adapt. So far not very good, but he has the tools to be a good player. Don't know much about Perisici, but from the little I've seen he doesn't look special at all.

- Icardi is pretty much the only certainty of this team.

So yes, Inter has, on paper, potential to challenge for CL or even 2nd place. But a lot of stuff has to go right for them. I think Murillo ends up being reliable, better than the horrible frog Ranocchia. Montoya is probably going to be decent, only OK. Midfield is probably going to be very good. Jovetic is 50-50. Can be great, can be mediocre.

Let's hope everything goes wrong and they find themselves bankrupt next year - AGAIN. Lol

They will surely get a LB and Shaqiri is confirmed leaving. They are listening for offers for Nagatomo, D'Amborison, Juan Jesus,Vidic, Taider . They can't sell Dodo yet because he is on a two years loan from Roma actually, with a permanent transfer after that. Melo is confirmed joining as well.

I think they will do better than last season , whether they can challenge for CL that's another thing. One thing in Italy we got a healthy number of clubs fighting for CL now. Both Milan, Both the Rome clubs and Napoli , off course we will be top as usual.

I'm not too convinced about Milan. That defense still looks like shit, they didn't get any CB yet.

Midfield with De Jong - Bonaventura - Bertolacci can work, but honestly I don't find it that good. Have to pay more attention on Bertolacci, but honestly when he's on the pitch I don't really realise it.

Now Bacca is looking very very good. I'm impressed with his speed, acceleration, agressiveness and decent ball control.

But not enough for CL to me. Roma and Napoli are definitely much better, and then you have Inter - Fiorentina - Lazio. I don't think Milan makes it.

Milan will surprise a few IMO. They haven't made the shrewdest moves on the market and have overspent on certain targets, but Sinisa will give them a lot of organisation and consistency. Two things that go a long way in a round robin format.

Firstly Jojo needs to be the mastermind behind his own resurection.
 true, but he will do well at Inter.
