Ah yes thats a separate issue, players should have a work permit, but that doesnt apply to Europeans iirc.

If thats true, then Milan are trying to copy Beppe, but failing miserably at it.

Milan is currently the little shit of serie a. Nobody wants to go to a team owned by a greedy rampant pedophile, who's trying to sell everything to thai ladybois, while ruining the team.

So foreign players reject them. Much like pretty much anything rejected juventus pre-conte.

So Milan does what Beppe dit. Buy domestical players, preferably italian, to fill the team, and work from there.

However, there is no fucking way even in those circumstances that Bertolacci and Romagnoli are worth THAT much.

Especially taking into accound that Milan is feeding off scraps here, since juventus has basically had first pick on most talent.

The problem for Milan is that they have some money from foreign investors that they need to spend fast. Otherwise Bee and co may lose interest in the process. There's absolutely no long term plan for Milan.

Yup and the difference is that we bought our players for 10-18m. Vucinic,Vidal,Pirlo,Quagliarella,Lichsteiner,Matri,Pepe.
Oh lord back then i liked only Vucinic as striker even tough he always missed the easy goals.

20 million for Bertolacci is way too much, but 25 for Romagnoli is in the actual markt nothing special anymore.
He is young, Italian and played a full season in the Serie A. He looks really good and if Milan buy him he can play there for more than 10 years. And if Milan sell him than he will probably be more worth than 25 million. But it is still a thing to think very good about. Milan hasn't that much money so they can better spend it on a more experienced defender like abedannour

Romagnoli is the sort of defender Milan need. Not because he is instantly going to be world class and allow them to win the scudetto this year, but because he is a big talent and could be a very long term solution for them in a position they are often filling with makeshift and flawed players.

Their defence should now have a regular first choice as Romagnoli and then someone to partner him, maybe long term, rather than trying to fit together two clowns like Zapata, Mexes and all the other misfits Milan have used since Nesta.

And El Shaarawy, I suppose. But they ended up in an absolutely garbage side. De Sciglio has also been constantly injured, and is still only 22.

I wonder what Berlusconi thinks about the SES sale, given his all-Italian dream?

Bacca: 'Milan biggest Italian club’
By Football Italia staff

New Milan signing Carlos Bacca insists he’s joining 'the biggest Italian club’, and targets the Scudetto.

The Colombian striker has joined the Rossoneri from Sevilla, though hasn’t joined up with the rest of the squad as he rests following the Copa America.

“I chose Milan because their project convinced me,” Bacca told Cancha Ecuador.

“They want to return to the top in Europe. I went there because I like challenges, and playing in the Champions League with Milan is definitely that.

“Don’t forget, only Real Madrid have won more Champions Leagues than the Rossoneri. I had offers from the Middle East, China, Germany, England, Spain and other Italian clubs.

“I’m very motivated and I want to replicate what I did with Sevilla. I want to give my contribution in awaking the sleeping beauty that is Milan, we want to aim for the Champions League and challenge for the Scudetto.

“It’s clear to me that Milan are the biggest club in Italy, but to succeed we’ll have to compete with Juventus, Inter, Roma and Lazio.”

The forward also insisted his move to San Siro was not financially motivated.

“If it was just about money, I’d have gone to the Middle East. It’s always good to have lucrative offers, but money isn’t everything to me, I wanted a big club with a clear plan like Milan.

“Cristian Zapata [his Colombia teammate] told me Milan are a great club and Milan is an extraordinary city.”
