What's your point? Napoli's recent form would be a crisis for us, for Napoli it merely is a little subpar run, for Hellas it would be a great month.
The point is, if they want to stay in the scudetto race, and be an elite team in any way shape or form (which they have obviously been talking about), winless in 5 has to be seen as a crisis.

This once again goes to show how important a winning mentality is and how difficult it is to instill in a team. Conte gave us a priceless gift by restoring the Juve spirit. Roma and Napoli had awesome squads and stability for years and still can't make that mental jump to the next level.

So you wouldn't call 2 losses-3 draws in their last 5 matches a crisis? You have incredibly low standards.
If it was 5 Serie A matches, yes.

But it's been 3 Serie A matches. Juventus and Fiorentina away, Milan at home. It is disappoiting because of the Milan draw. But that's 2 points we're talking about here.. not exactly a crisis.

I don't think they care about EL at all.

Now, if they fail to beat Chievo at home next round, it is a crisis.

But if they win, it's all still wide open.

:agree:

And that's exactly why I think Higuain would be a far better performer when it's all on the line here than he is at Napoli... The mentality would help him imo. Or conversely, it could break him. But I think he has all the tools, just weak mentality. If he had come to Juve instead of Napoli, it would have done wonders for him.

They spoke all the time about trying to win EL this year. Higuain, amongst others was crying after they got knocked out... I'm pretty sure they gave a shit this year. Anyways, 5 games without a win is a crisis any way you look at it, for a club with big aspirations, regardless of the fact it's 2 competitions.

If they lose/draw to Chievo, it will go beyond crisis, to the point of unmitigated disaster for their season. That would mean Roma closes to within 2/3 points, and we pull 5/6 points ahead.

He could have been one of the worlds best if he came here...

They don't have our mentality ,it's obvious but they will trash Chievo. No doubt about that.I want to be wrong. One of the things that makes me worry is that we play Viola rats away too and a little consolidated Milan away ,and they play Roma nearly at the end of the season.

When the momentum is broken that doesn't mean they will fail to win every match from now on. What it does mean is that when you do not have momentum/high confidence, you will fail to show up in more matches than if you do. And so beating Chievo doesnt mean their confidence didn't take a good knock. The effect becomes notable over the next few games.

Fiorentina was unlucky hitting two crossbars in the first half. They deserved to win that game last night.

As i expected Napoli collapsed, five games without a win.

I wish nothing more that you are right here.

To be honest, yes Viola rats hit two crossbars but garbage town boys have two 100% chances where was easier to score than to miss.

This is pretty cool @JuveJay

http://bit.ly/1TjV4DU

Rofl @ including Thiago Alcantara in Puglia though. He was there for about 5 mins :D

Lazio and Toscana Scudetto favourites IMO. Campania and Lombardia fighting for the last CL place.
I love this kind of stuff tbh, thanks :D

I looked at doing something similar to this for my local region, but English counties are much smaller. I'd have to include West Mids, Warks, Leics, Worcs, Notts, Derbys, Staffs into one 'Heart of Mercia' or something :D

Da Toscana defense :tuttosport:

Though I'd say Lazio would be favourites, too well balanced on all fronts, Toscana's central mid is pretty bad.

Also, Lombardia's logo is extremely ugly, even worse when I found out that it was the actual logo of the region

I mean that is legimitimately the ugliest logo I've ever seen. There are probably worse out there, but you'd have to actively search for them.

Hamsik: 'Difficult February’
By Football Italia staff

Napoli captain Marek Hamsik admits 'February was a difficult month’, but maintains that 'anything is possible’ in the title race.

The Partenopei were held to a 1-1 draw by Fiorentina last night after a previous draw against Milan and defeat to Juventus, meaning Maurizio Sarri’s side are now three points behind the Bianconeri in Serie A.

“It was a complicated game against an opponent who are technically very strong and who had the better first half,” Hamsik wrote on his official website.

“But after the break we dominated, it’s a shame we didn’t manage to capitalise on the chances we created.

“February was a difficult month, but we played well against Juve and Milan: the Bianconeri have a three-point advantage now, but there are 11 rounds left and anything is possible.

“We want to get back to winning ways against Chievo.”

Hamsik: 'Napoli can win Scudetto’
By Football Italia staff

Marek Hamsik believes Napoli can aim for the Scudetto this season - “we have the right team to make the fans dream”.

The Partenopei are currently just a point off the top of Serie A, and briefly held the lead after beating Inter at San Paolo.

“We have the right team to make the fans dream,” Hamsik told reporters in his native Slovakia, as reported by Corriere dello Sport.

“We’re second right now, and we’ll play for the Scudetto until the end. We’re aware of our strength, and we can have our say until the end of the season.

“We’re coming off a great performance [against Atalanta] and we were also top of the League for the first time in 25 years.”

Hamsik went on to discuss his lower goal return this season, exacerbated by his poor record from the penalty spot.

“It’s true I’m scoring less now, but I’m giving more of a contribution in terms of quality of play.

“We’re resting, spending a few days at home but after the holidays we have to think about January 6 and the match with Torino.

“As for the missed penalty, unfortunately when I hit the second it went over the bar. My friends made fun of me on social media!

“Personally though, I have no problems, anyone who takes a penalty knows we can make mistakes.

“All I can do is apply myself to try and be more effective next time.”

He does it every year. :touched:

I saw something like that for major European cities one or two weeks back, but can't seem to find it right now.
