Mancini did pretty well with the players he selected in the mercato for the most part but fvcked up big time spending 20m on Perisic. Had those 20m been invested more wisely, they would have had a decent attack.

The brawn in their midfield (and general ball-winning ability as a team) is one of their key strengths (others being the CB pair and Handa), perhaps their most important strength. Felipe Melo will always have his moments, but he's a key player for them.
Perisic is doing okay.

It's Kondogbia that is looking like a waste of cash just now.

Inter desperately need someone who can pass the ball reasonably in midfield.

And Inter have been extremely reliant on Handanovic this season, so I don't quite understand the praise their defence has been getting or the alleged defensive ability of their midfielders.

I have to admit I like De Rossi but this is not the reason behind saying I wouldn't ban him.

Some things that being said on the pitch is nothing to what is said in the tunnel or before going to the changing rooms and you can't control that.

If I am playing and someone tells me fucking Lebanese Arab terrorist I'd probably laugh, but if someone insults my wife or mother I'd most probably wouldn't smile and have different reaction because it offends me more than calling me dirty Arab or terrorist or whatever but for the rest of the world it's much worse than insulting your mother. (I can even insult anyone without having to mention the word wife while I am referring to his wife).

That's why I said you can't draw the line technically and you can't control it.
You can draw the line and you must be able to control your words during a match if you're a professional player. If not, then there are consequences.

As always, the non-Italian, Totti-obsessed come out to defend their God.

Juve fans, propping Totti up. :sergio:
He's a piece of shit.

Obviously. But there can't be consequences on everything bad that is said and that's why I said that you can't control this and there is basically no stopping to what players can say or say not.

There is a reason why players hide their mouth when they insult no? It doesn't make sense to ban a player who hides his mouth to prevent camera's reading lips than to insult without having to put your hands on your mouth. I can say horrible things where no one can read my lips right?

De Rossi could have easily put his hands on his mouth and insulted Mandzu everytime they clashed.

That's why I think you can't draw the line.

You can't ban a player for insulting someone while hiding his mouth because you can't prove what he said. You can obviously ban him if he doesn't.

It still doesn't make sense.

Either prevent players or ban them when they hide their mouths to be able to ban everyone who insults or crosses the line even inside the tunnels and everywhere until they are off the pitch or it's pretty much not fair IMO.

Coaches hide their mouth too when they're speaking to their assistants or players. They're probably not insulting them, but for the others to be able to listen to what they're saying due to the high noise levels inside the stadium.

I don't know why we can't understand each other Rab. :D

Because I usually love heated arguments on the pitch and tension all over the place, in football and in bed. :D

No need to act like such a dick, seriously.

When you say Totti eliminated Italy with his red card, its obvious BS for anyone who watched that game in 2002.

You have a horrible habit of attacking people with insults and name calling because they dont share the same opinions like you do.

Dont tell me you were 'joking' here again. For the record i absolutely hate Totti but it wont stop me from giving an unbiased opinion.

Totti is a massive cunt, but he's one of the best and most talented Italian players in the last couple of decades. And yes I have fucking enjoyed watching him play over the years.

Please show me the personal insult in the quoted post? I certainly do resort to ad hominem at times, but the above is not one of them. Some Juve fans have a horrible habit of underrating Juve players and massively overrating other teams' players with some misguided ideas on objectivity.

I stick by my opinion. Totti is horribly overrated. Even with calciopoli the guy managed 1 scudetto in 20 years. And that was riding the coat tails of Batigol destroying Serie A that season. Very impressive from Totti.

And regardless of deserving the second yellow in 02 or not, it was the reason Italy lost that match. He put himself in that position with his first yellow.
