That's not entirely true. Dybala had 4 goals-2 assists in the before November in Serie A. That's why we were all bitching for Allegri to play him every game, because he made our team so much better.

And Higuain plays in a team with better attackers according to people here all year long, but now that Dybala is ahead that narrative changes. Napoli creates more chances. We have better midfield defensively, and far better defensive line, but Napoli has better attack. So Higuain should be ahead here, and he isn't.

There is no argument. Dybala>Higuain. Accept the truth.

I can't believe you would be one of the pro-Higuain camp. They go to far in trying to be seen as objective by praising other team's players while underestimating our own. That's not being objective though, it's just fake.
Well true, I looked it up and gotta admit he played more during the beginning that I remembered (stupid tuz narrative of Allegri not playing Dybala clouding my memore I guess :D).

Still, I never argued that Insigne or Hamsik were better than the attackers we've got, and especially in the midfield & defense department (from mid-october onwards), we are very much superiour.

Do we hold it against Messi and C. Ronaldo that they get to play with the best players in the world. So we should take 20% or more off their goal and assist statistics?

Because if you start trying to account for team strength in how you assess attackers, it's a slippery slope.

Juventus was absolute garbage when marchisio was out.
He came back and we won 10 out of 12 games and looked a different team.

Handanovic, is most of the reason inter wins 1-0 instead of rightfully losing 1-2 or 1-3
While Higuain contributed nothing for the team that is leading the table.

Me too. After the game, I was thinking his goal+assist/minute must be good, but shit, that's amazing.
He is 2 goals 3 assists away from his total of last year, with 45% of the playtime so far.
If he manages to make 2g3a in the next 300 minutes, he'll have equalled last year in half the time.

And we tought he was good last year. Holy fuck.

They want to have it both ways right. They fap to no end over Allan and Insigne, but as soon as it doesn't suit their argument, now Higuain has no help and has to carry Napoli all by himself. While Dybala had to play with different formation each game, no midfield and injured and out of form Mandzu and Morata for the first 2 months of the season. Put those strikers in form and he'd have double the assists he has now. This wouldn't even be an argument. But no... Dybala has all the help.
and its Dybalas 1st season here with 2 other new strikers, one thats been here only 1 season, 2 new (attacking) wingbacks, several other new players and the team going through some major changes. didnt stop him from bossing the league from the very start. imagine if he spent his last 2 seasons playing with the same players like Higuain had the chance to with Hamsik, Callejon, Mertens, Insigne...

Because hey, when i said handanovic is better, what i'm actually saying is that Higuain is shitcrap.

No offence, this is the kind of argument you'd expect from some angry female

Figures you would be on this bandwagon.

Dybala > Higuain

Everything proves the point.

And the only reason Napoli is leading the table is because we started the season with 12 points in 10 rounds, due to massive injury crisis in midfield and attack.

that is obviously the truth, as their stats with NT are quite far behind with their clubs.

LOL people said that?  How are Napoli's attackers better than ours? Higuain, Insigne, Gabbiadini, Mertens and Calejon over Dybala, Mandzu, Morata, Zaza and Cuadrado? Tuz...

It gets a little bit ridiculous. It's all for appearance of being seen as superior fan of football because you can "objectively" praise other teams' players and are "honest" about when they are better than Juve players. It's not objective, it's not honest, it's just replacing the slight Juve bias we have, with the exact opposite, when the reality most often lies somewhere in the middle.
@Ocelot If I was being entirely honest, based on the season thus far, I'd probably put Higuain and Dybala as 1a and 1b in the league so far. Each one has basically been his team's most vital forward by far, and their /minute goal+assist are almost identical.

I doubt anyone would say this anymore, but for the first two months when people were calling Mandzu crap, Zaza the worst purchase ever, etc... Yep. That was the narrative.

Well, if you had to judge at the beginning of the season, Napoli's attack was better than ours. Not by that much, and of course including Higuain, but I think no one would have predicted Dybala to be this good.
