I respect his choices, and I also respect his adoptive parents, however I can't understand why he would choose to identify himself with people that hate him. Sure his parent's and close ones treat him with love and care, but what about the surroundings. It says a lot about how little he knows about where he is from, or it may also say just as much about how much he loves his adoptive parents, regardless it's a huge burden he has chosen to carry and the least you can do is respect it.

But truth be told I can't expect that little amount of consideration and respect from you. You firmly believe in your superiority, and you'd rather starve the other to confirm your superiority then to treat him as your equal.

There's always that hyphen and certain hyphens are more "respectable" then others.
