Yep. Last season we never struggled against lesser teams in Serie A and most of the time it was more than 1 goal difference. In Europe however we play totally differently and choke way too often, for years now.
So how long until Benitez is given the sack? Napoli are just going from bad to worse, it's amazing to witness Excuse me for my ignorance, but did Hamsik proclaim they were Scudetto contenders before this season again?
Annoying that Pjanic scored right at the end, but all good, we'll just put them in their place next weekend. Can't wait for that one.
He should get sacked right away. Their results are very poor considering how solid their squad is. When he came to Napoli results were decent (but still, one should question how decent, considering the amount of money spent). I think a good coach would provide much better results with them.
Benitez teams tend to take a while before delivering good results and this time they were punished for it and that broke their confidence. I highly doubt Benitez could fix that anytime soon he isnt exactly great at motivation. He is tactically brilliant and can nourish young talents but once the team's confidence is destroyed he seems to lose faith himself.
His season before last at liverpool brought the most out of his players but then they finished second in the last 2 fixtures due to extraordinary happenings (arshavin, Man Utd winning two last second matches by that italian young kid long after extra time should have ended, tottenham's collapse against united after a 2 or 3 goal lead). His team lost confidence and he lost confidence himself. The season after (his last season was a complete disaster and he was sacked). I've never seen him motivate a team that broke during his tenure.
