 serie a these days.... IMO it's better for all the ex magnificent 7 clubs except us to just follow parma, get dismantled and purged from exiatence forever

I mean look at that pretty much all those ex elite clubs are one by one turned into jokes in rotation each season, merda imploded, then bilan with all those laughable scudetti talk and their circus, then napoli and roma with the anti juve thing only for both of them slowly but surely infected with victim inferiority complex disease

Only fiorentina and lazio that have not been infected with chaos and I won't be surprised if in next few seasons they will turn into napoli and roma

And udinese being our feeder club

Huge joke they are now, perhaps it's time for the 2nd rate clubs like sampdoria to take their place

That's actually sad... There is no competition in Italy for the top place :sigh:

Well it's the reality, and some of us already could see that we don't need pre calciopoli serie a back

Not only it will take too long for them to be able to get back into that 'glorious' state, we also would not get much benefit from that aside from less potential to become complacent over time, and again as usually been said real barca and bayern have no real competition for decades already, aside from occasional dortmunds and atleticos; and they are doing mightly fine, then why should we fear that much about incompetitive serie a? Moreover others never gave real bayern the treatment we got with calciopoli, so we have much bigger reasons to just give them our middle fingers than hoping then well.

Are they (Napoli) complaining about Atalanta's goal or there were other incidents?
Atalanta's goal + apparent time wasting.

Yep. The coefficient be damned. We're never going to lose our 3rd CL spot, and let's be real, if we can't finish in top 3 in Serie A, we really don't deserve CL football. So fuck the other top clubs in Serie A.

The hilarious thing about Napoli's pathetic tweet is the fact they are lauding English referees as the best in the world, on the very weekend that one of them made a ridiculous decision to send off a West Brom player (mistaken identity) against Man City...and the other fact that English refs are probably even worse than Italians

Why are they complaining about the refs being harsh against them, when they were playing 11 v 10 for basically the entire second half? Pathetic clowns.
On the very same day the English media was full of widespread criticism of Premier League refereeing standards, calling for an overhaul. But of course the chimpanzee who runs Napoli's Twitter doesn't know this, half of the people in Italy who make this generic comment about the footballing Mecca that is England don't know it, they just like to whinge and whine about how everywhere else is better, such a model for Serie A, and continually make excuses for why they are shit.

:agree: always see comments from fans and clubs about following the "English Model" as if the game over there is without fault and is perfectly run.

There are other factors involved.

The more competitive Serie A is, the more entertaining the league becomes for fans and the more interesting it is for sponsors. This will have an effect on every club's commercial success. EPL clubs today are all making insane tv and sponsorship money just because they play in that league.

If you are a top club in an entertaining league that is watched en masse, you will make new generations of fans faster and you will have more neutrals watching you and buying your merchandise than if you are are top club in a less popular league.

these are truisms really. It should be obviously true that playing in a league thats widely perceived as having big teams and big stars is much better than playing in a league that people think is boring, or without stars. When Inter and Milan are healthy again, they bring masses of viewers to watch serie A in general and a lot more people will have an interest in whether Juve wins or loses its games and so on.

Having said that, whether we wish them well or not does not affect whether they recover or not. Its all up to how well or bad they will manage their resources. As things stand Inter have a much better shot at a slow recovery while Milan are still on decline.

You have a good point. :) The problem is that things are not always so simple. Bayern are in a league of their own but their success in Europe didn't came easy. They are also spending a lot more than us on transfers and wages. If we want to keep a good level and have a european final every now and then we need a competition in our own league. In a stronger league there are also better players to get.

Corriere Dello Sport tweet that Pinilla admits that the goal he scored against Napoli should have been disallowed (with fake quotes as well)...Pinilla responds by tweeting "What?? Don't write bullshit"

This is the media in Italy. No wonder we were dragged through the bullshit in 2006, with a pathetic and biased media like that. Roma and Napoli loving fucking scum the CdS is.

- - - Updated - - -

Oh it gets better  Then the editor of CdS (a fucking scumbag known as Paolo De Paola) tweets to Pinilla by saying "No it wasn't Pinilla who said it himself, but Gabriele Perico told me exactly what you said to him", Pinilla says he swears on his children that he never said anything about admitting it was a foul and flat out calls him a demented liar  Everyone on Twitter ripping into De Paola and Cds :touched: Burn these fucking journalist maggots.

After GdS' role in Farsopoli I cannot take anything these outlets say seriously, they are laughably biased publications who only like to stir up regional favour and misrepresentation, going so far as to present fiction as fact.

Benitez is my least favourite coach in Serie A for a number of reasons:
-He has multiple times **** on calcio, pumping up his "offensive" system.
-He complains every time he loses.
-He turned a previously improving club into a reserve team for the Spanish national team.

Say what you want about Mazzarri's Napoli, but given the resources available to Mazzarri, he did much better than Benitez in Napoli.
