this whole active/passive-rule is bullshit or at least the interpretation of it is. especially in situations like yesterday it often gets completely ignored if the player in question (chiellini) doesn´t touch the ball.

another weird thing about this rule:
skip to 1min.
there is exactly one reason for the defender to go for the tackle and that´s the striker behind him, who is offside. yet, according to the rules, it´s a fine goal. i don´t get it.
Yeah, the offside rule is a mess just now and is weighted for too far in favour of the attackers.

What is your take on Evra's performances? I tried Mentioning you but you must have a jinx on it? :D
They've been mixed.

He started slowly and has got to a point where he is now generally adequate.

But he has also made horrible errors that one doesn't expect from an experienced player, such as showing Gabbiadini inside onto his left foot to equalise for Samp.

And then not learning his lesson and showing him onto his left foot again to let Gabbiadini try and win the game for Samp.

Interesting. What about yesterday? I think his improvements are steadily growing.

I'm struggling to recall him having any significant influence on the game.

He wasn't really involved in attack and Napoli didn't attempt to do much down his side of the pitch.
