How is it up there? Folks here keep contributing with money, food and water for Serbia. Seems like it's fine in Belgrade, right?

It's horrible. It didn't affect Belgrade directly (I'm totally fine) but so many cities are really screwed. You can only see rooftops from the buildings literally, especially in Obrenovac. Many destroyed houses, many evacuated people without home (this morning it was 18000 evacuated) and many dead (12 is the last official number, but there are more, some areas cannot be reached cause of the water). We're still waiting for 2 waves to come, pretty big one is coming from Austria (Danube of course) in like 5-6 days. But they say it won't be anything serious. I'll go tomorrow or the day after most likely to try help out, they will need people. We're getting donations from many countries (thank you to those who contributed, even 1 euro helps a bunch!) and it really, really helps out a lot. We'll see what happens when all the water draws out, they might be some humanitarian (?) work so I'll go and help if I can somehow. This was such a huge kick for us, it will take years to recover from it. We've been through so much crap, I can't believe we needed this too. But I guess we'll kick back again. It's great (and surprising) how people are helping out, so much positive power around and we need that too. But it's pretty desperate when I get to see so much feedback how help is needed with clothes, food, diapers (yea many babies).

I'll 100% go there next week. So far only small groups of professionals were allowed to go to Serbia, but people are organizing themselves and a much bigger wave will come for help in the following days. I'll let you know where I'll be, so if we're close we can arrange a meeting. I'm in Skopje right now.
