It's difficult knowing the lead is cut to 5 or 6, from a psychological point of view. It's not really about how far ahead we are in numbers, but it can bring the team nervous energy because ey are bound to compare or look at Roma's results. And to be honest, the latter are looking in far better shape than we are. I'd go as far as saying that they're beating teams easily, while we are labouring to wins. Some of it may have to do with energy levels, but then 5 or 6 points with 5 to play, is not a difficult number of points to overturn, when you know you've got one massive home game where you can take points off.

Nonsense. Assuming we draw Udinese, which is likely the worst result we'll get, we'd be 6 points up. Which is two losses. Our opponents are Sassuolo and Roma away; Cagliari, Bologna, Atalanta at home. Who do you see us dropping points to there, besides Roma? That's right, no one. We'll easily win all 3 home matches, and Sassuolo is a joke. We've already clinched the scudetto. It would take a meltdown of epic proportions for us to drop 8 points in these last 6 games, plus, even then, Roma would have to beat us by at least 3 goals to win on head to head.

Roma also has to play Fiorentina away, Milan at home still. Not to mention Genoa and Catania away as they should win those 2.

They're minimum 5 points back with 5 matches left, and we have 4 of the easiest opponents possible.

Scudetto is clinched even if we lose to Udinese.
If only it was that simple. A better, and stronger Juve than this has lost the title with such a lead in the past. Very different when we compare teams on paper, and very different, when the team is on the field playing with a certain mindset. Eg. If Roma are chasing us, and let's say for the sake of argument the lead is down to 1 point, and they are playing away to Fiorentina, or Napoli or even Juve? How do you think they'll play? Mentally they'll come out swinging because the goal is in sight. They won't play with fear. Likewise, if Juve drop points, they will mentally play with a bit more fear of being caught/dropping points and won't play as freely, no matter who the opponents are.

This isn't to say, that we are no longer favorites for the scudetto, but I don't think it's as easy as some make it out to be. On a given day, any team can tip the balance and nick a goal and win a match. It helps that we are used to playing for the title, but it doesn't help that we are tired and without rest. Fatigue is a determining factor in results at this stage of the season.

I would still say we are favorites, but not by much. If we drop points against Udinese, we are going to have the cat among the pigeons, and looking over our shoulders more than we'd like. It also wouldn't help our cause if Roma plays their weekend matches before us. Everytime they cut the lead a day before, the pressure is on us. These are things we could do without when faced with it week in, week out and midweek too. No team can sustain and play with pressure at the rate we are at. It's not easy to do.

Can't see Roma winning vs both Milan and Fiorentina. In the worst case scenario we'll celebrate our title after the match vs Atalanta. That team you're referring to Baggio played in a much stronger competition and were very often struggling, despite arguably having more quality players, while this side has incredible percentage thus far. Can't see a side that has won averagely 2,6 points per game till now not being able to get a mere 11 point out of their 6 remaining games, 5 relatively easy ones btw.

People chill, we got this..

I think they will win both, but it doesn't matter. We should only be looking at our results. My only concern is if we slip up before our match against them.

so like 60-40? do you actually believe that?
I'd say 90-10 in our favor of course, and I'm really giving them a credit with that 10 percent. We have very easy schedule bar the game vs them.
