There are reports that they are looking to sign Banega also.Man,that would be a great signing for them.
Napoli means serious business. To be honest with the way they've been progressing I would be very surprised if they don't win a scudetto within the next 2-3 years.

Inler, Alonso and Banega

Even Milan can turn things around fast.

De Jong, Montolivo then sign Honda and Banega. That's a solid mid.

Alonso leaving for Napoli would be illogical imo. Not untill Napoli actually wins something first.

Then, if it were to happen, i wonder how good he'll actually be at Napoli.
Not doubting his skills at all, but he's turning 32 this month. He'd need to settle at napoli and allready be 33 at the point when he would. Thats old for a cm.

Sure, bring on pirlo comparison. But pirlo plays in a formation that protects a regista, and is a fucking legend.
Napoli, would have to dramatically alter their playstyle. They would lose organisation and defensive sturdyness. Because Pirlo is a master tactician. He knows how to move to creates triangles and squares around the center creative players with his team. Pirlo is excellent at it, Pirlo has the best off the ball movement of any player in italy in the past decade. Thats whats keeping him in the game. Agility and burst are gone. But his running and tactical game keep it intact.

Xabi Alonso ? Excellent player but lacks that compared to pirlo. He wont last as long. Napoli will have to protect him.

In the end, i think with alonso they'll undoubtly be even better in attack. But weaker in the defence. a "zeman" reaction really. team eighter winning heavy, or losing without a goal

After Ansaldi, Banega is easely the most overrated player on this forum.

Gundogan is the player in that position
Welcome back, Zacherator.

Looks like this last ban changed you a lot. The old Zach would have been all over RUS for making fun of you in every possible way while you were banned. I like this new and lenient Zach.

He is not yet a defensive liability for Madrid which were built to counter attack under Mourinho and are now more attacking under ancelotti.
I doubt Napoli will be attractive enough for him anyway, he can still walk into most teams' midfields.
