After Udinese they have another easier run of games:

Roma vs Chievo
Torino vs Roma
Roma vs Sassuolo
Roma vs Cagliari
Atalanta vs Roma

Then of course they have to play some tougher ones:

Roma vs Fiorentina
Milan vs Roma
Roma vs Catania
Juventus vs Roma

We play them there at the turn of the year, and if we are around them or just above after we meet then we'll be in a good position in regards to them. Napoli we know will be in for the long haul, Roma we just don't know yet.

That's what has tended to cost Roma when they have had strong teams in the past.

They'll have a good record against the good teams in the league, but they will - for whatever reason - end up dropping too many points against the poorer teams to be able to win the league.

Regression to the mean. Roma will drop points in the next two games, it's almost a certainty. in fact I'm going to bet on it.

I don't understand how you are sure that Roma will drop points based on other seasons. It's not like the conditions are exactly the same, the players are exactly the same and they have started in the exact same way. It's either speculation which has a shaky ground or wishful thinking, there is no other way.

So you think Roma will win every game this season?

I feel my basis for suggesting they will drop points at some stage over the season - based on no team every having won every game in Serie A - is quite a strong one.

Also, it's pretty rare for Udinese to lose at home.

With Roma missing key players, there has to be every chance they will drop points this weekend.

No, I don't think they will win every game this season, nothing in my post suggests that anyway.

So where do you see them dropping points?

Starting to wonder, because - given your posts on them - I'm starting to think they must be one of the all-time great club sides.

Really? What posts? I've mentioned them a couple of times saying that letting in one goal has impressed me more than the eight straight wins. I also mentioned that they look solid and have an advantage of not playing regional matches. If that makes you conclude that they are an all-time great then so be it but that's only your conclusion, I never said that.

Where do I see them dropping points? how would I know? I usually suck at predictions. The moment they start dropping points I'll be happy though.

I actually find it annoying how it is very common that people draw conclusions from my posts and even more annoying analyzing my character and current psychological mood. What if I repeat that the current Juve play and form has not impressed me and I am annoyed that they are not playing to their potential? A potential that I believe they can reach but they are far from it? It's only how I expect them to be and how I interpret the current situation. Anything other than that is simply mere over-analysis of my posts which to me is nothing but bullshit.

You're not the only one but I don't think your interpretation has any ground except for the fact that I am repetitive. I see Roma, Napoli and Inter as strong opponents, much stronger than previous years and I see Juve complacent and reckless in reaching their potential. That's about it.

And mind you, I still see Juventus are title favourites provided they start playing as they should and I still believe they can proceed from the CL group once they stop being cowards in Europe.
