There was an unfortunate prank on Mario Balotelli, as angry fans TP’d his Ferrari when he refused to sign an autograph.
The Milan and Italy striker arrived in Lugano on Thursday evening and, according to LiberaTV, refused requests from a group of fans to sign autographs or have his picture taken.
At the end of his evening, Super Mario came back out to the parking lot and found his red Ferrari wrapped in toilet paper.

Got him! Have fun getting that off your fag wagon Balosmelly.

Looks like Pizarro is injured for some time. He was quite crucial for Fiorentina with his passes, now them rats surely aren't getting a top 3 spot.

Fiorentina could be without David Pizarro for a long time after releasing a statement on his injury.

The midfielder picked up the problem while on international duty with Chile and on Friday night revealed the diagnosis.

Pizarro has suffered “a lesion of the internal oblique muscle. The evolution of the lesion will be monitored after a week of therapy and rest.”

A lesion such as this could take a couple of months to heal completely, especially as Pizarro has struggled with muscular problems in the past.
No problem.

Ambrosini can play as a regista...

Saw a little bit of that the other day.

Wasn't terribly interesting.

Can't believe you don't know former Scotland international Richard Hughes. :shifty:

“Accusing our Curva of racism, a Curva that never kicked black kids out of our sector and always accepted the progressive increase of diverse ethnicities in our team, making them idols like Liverani, Dabo, Onazi, Ciani, Cisse etc is truly ridiculous as well as insulting!

“Our attempts to make people understand over the years that the famous 'buuu’ noises are not racially offensive, but simply a mocking gesture to irritate whoever our opponent happens to be, have proved to be in vain.

“Your interests have meant all our explanation and clarification has been pointless. We therefore ask our population of ultras to avoid the monkey noises.

“We are more mature and we will prove it, just as we always have done, with our superiority even in this instance disarming the hypocrites who push against us.”

If it wasn't racially motivated then they'd do it to white players too. Idiots.

I guess the significant things to take from the statement, rather than focusing on their flimsy justification, is that they:

1. Do not want to be perceived to be racist; and

2. Say they will stop the 'racist' chanting.

Now, if the main ultra groups genuinely want this stuff to stop, they are capable of policing the curva and making sure it does stop.

I can tell you from my experience when I went to the Milan derby in February - Inter's Curva Nord released a statement a few days before the game, as well as handed out flyers at the stadium itself, that people can throw whatever insults they want at Balotelli but NO RACISM. There was still racist chanting anyway, though not from CN but from other parts of the stadium. It's a nice gesture if ultras groups try to make an effort to stop it (definitely better than doing nothing), but there will always be assholes who don't care. And that's why the only real answer is permanently removing individuals who act this way.

I agree, but seeing Lazio ultras - arguably viewed as the most racist in Italy - coming out and saying they are against racist chanting, has to be seen as a step forward.

Once it moves down to being individuals rather than an organised group doing it, it is going to gradually become less and less prevalent.

Unless those sneaky Laziali ultras had their fingers crossed when writing that statement, of course, in which case nothing will change and this is just an effort to avoid having their curva shut again in the near future.

Problem is that they cannot do in a football stadium what the nation has proven unable to do for Cecile Kyenge in Parliament.
