Any thoughts on Milan's supposed plan to switch back to 4-3-1-2 next season?

Balotelli's arrival, and the spaces he occupies, does seem to have signalled an end to El Shaarawy being effective playing on the wing and drifting inside into scoring positions. Might allow him to be less predictable if given a free-ish role from SS.

With Balotelli dropping short to get the ball a lot of the time, he and a trequartista may almost end up getting in each others way.

4-3-1-2 also puts more strain on the fullbacks than 4-3-3 - since they don't have the defensive protection from the wingers and they are also expected to provide the width when attacking. Milan ain't strong at fullback.

It is a move that would probably make it easier for Juve to playe against them, though. 4-3-1-2 is a much more comfortable tactic for 3-5-2 to play against than 4-3-3, since there isn't the difficulty of dealing with wingers.

Anyway, with Milan having picked up so many point with 4-3-3, it seem odd to me that they are already looking to move away from it.

Its pathetic that a chairman is gonna tell his coach how to do stuff.

How about doing what he is good at, beeing funding milan and putting his tiny cock in underage girls cause at least it fits them well

terrible idea, that formation simply is not sustainable in football these days.

And if the rumours are to be believed, they are changing formation to accommodate Saponara in their lineup as the trequartista. Odd.

I'm inclined to agree - at least for the moment when most teams are playing with a lot of width.

Yeah, they say that, but it also sounds like they are looking to sign another trequartista.

If I didn't know better, I'd say they are using Saponara as cover for Berlusconi just telling Allegri what system to use next season...

What a fantastic player :tuttosport:
Yeah, he's awesome.

After watching some of Brazil v England, I was debating what is Brazil's beat team with my brother and I had Hernanes right at the heart of it.

I've seen him in person twice and he's done something brilliant on both occasions:

And

I believe I'm one of the folk in yellow in the Curva Nord in the first video. Not sure which one, though. :D

The first game I was at in Italy.

Yeah, love the two-footedness.

So few players have that.

Hernanes and Aberdeen's Johnny Hayes are the only players I see on a regular basis who have enough confidence in their weaker foot to be prepared to take set-pieces with it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Nedved used to shoot with both feet but only took set pieces with his right, yeah?

I think they should go for 4-2-1-3, as it gives them the chance to field a trequartista ( dropping deep) and not lose the 4-3-3 shape (as u said it sees it's working out for them)....and Hernanes seems perfect for that role
