I can actually see Thohir as becoming important in the future of Serie A, if he really has any long term plans. And for that reason he should have a good relationship with the Agnelli's.

On the pitch and in the stands of course there will never be anything other than hatred and bitterness, they were mortal enemies even before Calciopoli.

If he starts investing much, I can see the league doing everything to keep him and even help his team win the league. I think that Italian football authorities will try to attract more foreign money instead of chase them away, so Inter and Thohir will have to win the league a couple of times or so. From next year already, I fully expect the refs to give that extra push to Inter. Of course, for this to happen Thohir will have to do his job first, and buy some important players.

I'm not quite as cynical as that, but nothing in this league surprises me. I do know that refs give decisions to the strongest teams.

Yeah, I was thinking he could be quite a strong ally for Agnelli when reading some of his comments recently.

Serie A about to agree a deal for improved TV rights from 2015 to 2018.Agnelli and Lotito doing the negotiating supposedly.

The league is looking a guaranteed 1bn euro a season for the 3 years.
It is a step in the right direction, but still not good enough. The EPL gets over 2 billion Euros a season apparently.

Judging by his interviews this week, Thohir shares Agnelli's thoughts about the direction of Serie A. I know Andrea is attempting to dismantle that axis of evil that operates the league, they could be powerful allies. I suppose a lot hinges on him not being a total moron. Andrea appears to be planting a few seeds outside of the Milan camp, Pallotta answered a question about Galliani becoming president with "I want new people and a transparent management. I've spoken with Agnelli and he has good ideas." He looks like the easy choice for new investors at least.

I thought refereeing decisions would be decided by star factor, but Tevez is nowhere near Balotelli in terms of favouritism. Juve have it nice at the moment though.

Kovacic is one of those rare gems out there. Only 19 years, but the level of maturity he's showing for the NT is astonishing. Unfortunately they won't make the same mistake twice.
