Are there any Toronto people going to the Roma game tomrrow? Just thought I would let ppl know Roma will be practicing at 7pm tonight at Bmo. It costs $10 to get in but there will be a meet and greet with the players after apparently. It would be cool to meet Totti so I am debating on going.

:weee: :faq1: fuck american style, football would lose its soul.
Watching these games on Fox it felt kinda awkward. There wasn't the usual atmosphere surrounding football match. No passion on the stands, endless commercials during the match, no tactical analysis, terms commentators used etc... It didn't feel right.

On Fox soccer channel? I find that hard to believe, I haven't had cable for a few months now but i watched FSC for years before that and never once saw that...spot on about the commentary being painful to listen to though. :D

Perhaps it is just the Guiness tournament. I wouldn't know as the only match I have seen so far is the one I attended in SF and they kept interrupting the feed to the scoreboard for ads. It was fucking gay.

I saw the commercials and I was at one of the matches.

Only so much you can take of Richard Harrow drinking beer to get half his face back.

For commercials part I was refering to official speaker on the stadium who was constantly repeating some adds through the entire match. I expressed myself wrongly. :D But there were some during the match on Fox iirc.

Fans were booing that at the Juve-Everton match. Lots of Geico insurance commercial plugs.

Imagine Del Piero dribbling Hierro and he is just about to score against Real in semis, and you hear some commercial for Gazzetta or FIAT:rndh:
