I started following the Italian league right after the World Cup 1982, I followed Juventus more in 1988 1989 I think but it was until 1993 that I really fell for them totally.

The Germans were fabulous, Kohler and Möller after that the era of Vialli and Ravanelli was fantastic. Torricelli, Lombardo, Jugovic, Boksic were a joy to watch. Di Livio was a favourite. Deschamps, Zidane, Davids, Montero, Iuljano too many to name.

I was never a player fanboy except for Del Piero of course. But do you want to hear a funny story?

In the early 90s when I started thoroughly to follow the team there was no live coverage in Lebanon but there was a channel that showed matches one week later. We used to rush for the newspaper on Monday morning to see the results and wait almost an entire week to see the game.
