Genoa sack De Canio following Roma collapse

"The Gli Salami officials have already named former Juventus coach Luigi Delneri as the new replacement.

"At this time it was right to change. I immediately hired Delneri because I was afraid he was going to go somewhere else. Reinforcements will arrive in January," 64-year-old Preziosi told ANSA."

The jeers will turn into applause :touched:

i wish Del Neri the best.

He came at juventus, beeing a limited coach, without the players he needed to succeed. He isnt cut for a topteam like us. However, at genoa were pressure is alot lower and he can try more, and can play whatever style he wants

Perfectly sensible move from Genoa to get Delneri.

Frankly, I'm surprised it has taken so long for Delneri to get a job at a midtable side, considering how well he did before joining Juve.

Unless he was quite happy taking time out and living off his Juve pay off for a while.
