I'm not sure but the max download speed I ever get is around 1 megabyte a second...so pretty slow by international standards.]

Though we don't pay for it because my dad's work does but it's pretty shitty since we can't upgrade or get more than 50GB of downloads a month, at least until the contract expires which is I have no idea when.
Same like me and streams run perfectly for me.

1 megabyte or 5 doesn't make any difference when it comes to stream. If it's lagging then it's a shitty stream but not your Internet.

This is the most likely reason.

Even if you have a fast internet connection, it's limited by the cabling between Australia and Europe.

I had much slower Internet connection before and yet it worked normally. I know many people who have faster Internet and it doesn't make any difference. If buffering is 100% then it just goe smoothly, yours can't run faster.

See above.

It does. Especially for HD Sopcast ones.
Yeah I noticed this, watching the proper HD HD (if you get what I mean) streams looks more like a powerpoint slideshow.

How slow? What was your speed? In some sites they show the bandwidth required by the stream. There are some Sopcast streams that require more than 2Mbps and those are not going to load or will be very choppy in a slower connection.

Fiorentina (3-5-2): Viviano; Roncaglia, Rodriguez, Nastasic; Cassani, Pizarro, Borja Valero, Romulo, Pasqual; Jovetic, Ljajic.

Udinese (3-5-1-1): Brkic; Hertaux, Danilo, Cosa; Faraoni, Battocchio, Willians, Badu, Pasquale; Muriel; Maicosuel.

Alot of new players at Udine's squad comparing to match against Braga earlier this week. No Benatia, Toto, Basta, Domizzi. It doesn't sounds very good for them.
