Silvio already popped in 60ish midseason to close a hole. Milan have a massive debt compared to their expected revenue generation. They have to close holes now because next season Silvio will only be allowed to kick in around 45M due to FFP monitoring starting. If Berlu is gonna kick in "20-30" it'll be have to be now. But let's remember that his business isn't what it used to be - there's even been rumours of selling off parts or all of the club to foreign investors in the recent past.
Getting rid of Zlatan will hurt their performance because they won't be able to replace his importance in the team with their funds available. But it will be a good thing for them overall to cut his outrageous wage from their bill. With the oldies leaving, Zlatan leaving and cutting a lot of the low quality filler players, they'll get a somewhat close to sustainable wage structure. Now THAT won't be a good thing for us
The fact that we're closing in on a respectable balance sheet is what is potentially putting us ahead of the two Milan clubs for 5-6 years to come.
