Silvio already popped in 60ish midseason to close a hole. Milan have a massive debt compared to their expected revenue generation. They have to close holes now because next season Silvio will only be allowed to kick in around 45M due to FFP monitoring starting. If Berlu is gonna kick in "20-30" it'll be have to be now. But let's remember that his business isn't what it used to be - there's even been rumours of selling off parts or all of the club to foreign investors in the recent past.

Getting rid of Zlatan will hurt their performance because they won't be able to replace his importance in the team with their funds available. But it will be a good thing for them overall to cut his outrageous wage from their bill. With the oldies leaving, Zlatan leaving and cutting a lot of the low quality filler players, they'll get a somewhat close to sustainable wage structure. Now THAT won't be a good thing for us The fact that we're closing in on a respectable balance sheet is what is potentially putting us ahead of the two Milan clubs for 5-6 years to come.

Milan are in big debt and they are a selling club ever since 2006. They sell higher than they buy. In June 2006 they sold Shevchenko for €42 millions. In 2009 they sold Kaka for €64.5m and now maybe Zlatan for ~€35/40m. If you follow their progress, you will see that after that CL win in 2007, with a team that was created before the mid 2000's, when serie A was still a spending force, the team is on a free fall. They are forced to sell their stars and they don't have the money to replace them. And when they buy players, they can't go with crazy offers to compete on the market. They just wait for a smart buy, which doesn't always come. It happened with Zlatan and with Cassano. Or they go with an investment for the future, which was the case with Pato (Dinho is an exception to this and he was Berlu's pet player. He won't do the same for another player). They are forced to do it. Not that Juve's able to compete with the best, but we were in serie B when Milan won the CL.

As for your main question, it's good for us because Milan are losing their best player. History teaches us that they won't find an adequate replacement. They spent only half the money they got from Sheva and half they got for Kaka. It was different when Inter sold Ibra, because they sold him for crazy 69m eur. Milan will at most have 15-20m eur to spend on the market from the Zlatan money. It's also good because Milan's financial crisis will be confirmed.
On the other hand, it's bad because Milan will be in for a striker. We'll also go for a 20-25m eur striker, imo, and that makes Milan a direct rival on the mercato. We'll have the same target. That is why we should close a deal sooner. Another reason why it's bad is the fact that this will pour a much needed cash in Milan. Saving Zlatan's wages and getting the transfer money might mean that they'll swim out of this mess sooner. And, of course, losing another super star is making the league weaker, which will definitely have an influence on Juve too, even if many of us can see a good thing in that too, because if we manage to remain the only financially strong team in this league, we can win lots of scudetti. If in 10 years Serie A gets its reputation back, everyone will remember our scudetti and noone will remember when and in what kind of league we won them.

In any case, a potential Zlatan sale has a good and a bad side, both for Milan and Juve.

I was discussing same thing with my friend the other day? The weaker the league is the better for Juve. We will be able to attract the best talents/players in the leauge. See Barca and Real in La liga. Also Bayern used to buy the best german players.

Milan might get rid of Ibra? It's whatever. I don't see them winning the league next year regardless of him. They'll be missing to many players who were clutch these last two years, mainly because of retirement. Their mid and defense is shit. Ibra helps them a ton but they still need a more complete team to win.

Pato is always injured so I don't think you can count him in as a regular. Ok, top 10 but definitely not EL places, probably 1 or 2 spots outside that. Even Roma's squad is definitely better than that.
