Inisghtful comment from Galliani who is about to sell Ibrahimovic and THiago Silva:

Galliani was then asked if Milan would be bringing in any more 'top players' before the start of the new Serie A season, and the Monza native admitted that the Serie A giants are no longer in a position to sign the game's most high-profile performers.

"I do not know what you mean by top players, maybe players who are expensive," he queried. "I repeat, we are too far behind the Spanish. I said that a few years ago. You need to forget about big names.

"Once upon a time great players arrived in Italy, but that is no longer possible. Certain players with big transfer fees and big salaries are no longer available to Milan, Inter or Juventus.

"Twenty years ago we made more money than Real Madrid and Barcelona; now we net half of what they generate in revenue.

"Italy has changed as a country and the economy has changed. The problem is not Milan, but all of Italian football.

Galliani, such a dope. Milan in crisis, talk about Italian football in general.:sergio:

Whenever he opens his yap about Italian football he acts like none of it is his fault. He's just a victim. Maybe if Milan had built a stadium 10 years ago or kept their star players and thus had more marketing appeal the revenue gap wouldn't have gotten so big. No, he just sits there feeling sorry for himself.
Newsflash, Spain's economy is in the shitter too! 25% unemployment rate, emergency loans from the EU, shit the Italians have so far managed to avoid.

I love how that bald fuck always drags us into their problems. I'm not saying we're the richest club around, not even close but we're definitely in better shape than both the Milanese clubs.

I love that we own our own stadium. We'll always be two steps ahead of both Milan and Inter.

They all cream their pants about and present it's some kinda biblical heroism that Berlu kept Silva, and now this...

What a joke of a management. I'm sure they have a plan in sight, but they way they carry things out is embarrassing. I'd be embarrassed to be a Milan fan if Berlusconi and Galliani do indeed sell Silva (and Ibra) just because of what conspired just weeks before this.

I hate seeing all these great players leaving the Serie A. It may make life easier for Juve, but I don't want the league to turn into La Liga, with only two teams really able to do anything.
Serie A will stay competitive. Inter and Milan are going to rebuild. Napoli is still a threat, Roma are going to have a good squad in a couple years. All the other provincial teams will always have that danger about them...I think it will be a good season. :)

I think Milan will replace Ibra with Dzeko and who knows they might not even buy another CB since they got Acerbi.
