So, past the half-way point of the season. Any opinions on players of the season so far?

I have something like this:

Marchetti
Roncaglia Biava Chiellini
Cuadrado Inler Marchisio Asamoah
Totti
Cavani El Sharaawy

Others: Pirlo, Lichtsteiner, Lulic, Lamela, Pizarro, Nainggolan.

Roncaglia or Biava ahead of Barzagli?

And even though Inler has been good, would you still say he's been better than Vidal?

Inler has 4 goals and 2 assists and an average rating of 7.18. Vidal has 5 goals and 5 assists with an average rating of 7.68. Both according to www.whoscored.com.

Marchetti in goal is a good choice and so is the striking pair of Cavani and El Sharaawy.

Totti should not be in there at the expense of Hernanes. Hernanes has scored 8 times this season, and he has 3 assists.

Should definitely be in the squad, perhaps even in the first eleven.

I wanted to mix it up, with players of different teams. Hence I tried to choose those that made most of a difference. That's why I included players like Biava. Vidal is a terribly inconsistent player. Inler has been very dominant for Napoli this season. Totti definitely over Hernanes. Totti has in most matches been on another level from the rest of 21 players on the pitch.

Vidal has been very dominant for us, too. And like I said, he has more points to his name than Inler, regardless of whether one is looking at goals, assists or average rating. Just ask Chelsea about this player and his dominance.

I'm not refusing to acknowledge that Inler is having a good season, but if the topic is "Team of the Season" - I think it's plain wrong to include him at the expense of Vidal.

Totti over Hernanes makes more sense, but the latter is having one hell of a season too.

Barzagli not being in there, however, is absolutely nonsensical! What a defender that guy is. Would walk straight into any side. Would Roncaglia or Biava?

Can't believe there isn't a mention of Hamšík.

Are Chelsea playing in Serie A then? And indeed, i'm not looking at points. I'm looking at what I saw. Inler has been dominant for Napoli, while Vidal has been absent in more than a handful of matches.

And again, I think Biava had more of an indivudual impact for Lazio than Barzagli for us. But either is a good choise, as far as i'm concerned.

Can't believe there isn't a mention of Hamšík.
O my god !!111

As much as it sucks to say, If AC Milan continue their current form they'll get third. They've impressed me lately. Inter, Roma and Lazio are getting complacent. Inter especially are a joke.

I haven't seen enough matches to give an opinion on team of the year but Roncaglia has been a beast every time I've seen him. Barzagli replacement anyone? Fiorentina would probably want a zillion euro for him though.

Also, Totti has been a joy to watch this season.
