Was Zaccardo the team's leader? Come on don't be ignorant. And who is in Juve to replace MvB? Padoin? ( Don't say Pirlo cause they're different)

I know Marchisio has much better potential but this season Nocerino has surpassed his potential while Marchisio has not fulfilled it.

Anyway I have to admire juve as a team, unlike Milan they have a plan for what happens on the pitch and they have bought players according to that plan and play like that.

Milan has bought any player that we could afford, threw them at Allegri and asked for a WC team. I can't detect any vision or foresight in Milan's progress in last two years.

Are you implying that Van Bommel is yours? Damn, you're in much more trouble than I thought. Fact remains, team's unity and collective work > WC individuality.

Keep holding us strong down there yo.

Have you even read the post? I'm exactly saying the same thing as you, that a unit is much better than a bunch of individuals thrown together.

Are these the discussions that you came here for?
What is this supposed to mean?

No, you implied Van Bommel would be higher in the pecking order; and you're wrong. Furthermore, Pirlo can also play against attacking team.
If that was how it was implied, then it was a mistake on my behalf.

I know Pirlo can play against attacking wise, and so can MvB against defensive ones, but we're talking about the best XI picked from the two teams' squad.

Fulfilling/surpassing potential means nothing, even to yourself, because if it did, you'd never pick Silva ahead of Barzagli as I'm yet to see a player surpassing his potential like he has so far in this season.

Nocerino's potential is very well known to us, Juve fans, and believe me, surpassing that level is not a remarkable achievement. He wouldn't make the Azzurri's starting midfield either because, obviously, Marchisio is the better player.

Juventus' defense and midfield is (arguably) the defense and midfield of the season, it's not easy for other players to find a place there.

If we don't include Nesta, Seedorf and Del Piero for obvious reasons, then the team is:

4-3-3
Buffon
Licht-Silva-Barzagli-Chiellini
Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio
Cassano-Ibra-Vucinic

4-3-1-2
Buffon
Caceres-Silva-Barzagli-Chiellini
Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio
Boateng (Cassano)
Cassano (Vucinic)-Ibra

Do you mean Muntari was bought without any thought or plan?
