if we had all starters available and match fit, I'd have given Milan a slight advantage over Barca. Now, Barca has at least 60/40 chance of going thru, depending on how fit Boateng, Nesta, Binho, Seedorf, Abate would be.
Doubt it would be easy for them either way, though.

 Nice one

Sorry Ac Milan, but you really can't be serious?

I mean i'd have understood had you said something like, "we would have had a chance if all our players were fit" that would have made more sense. But to say that your team would have had an advantage over Barcelona if all your players were fit is just hugely overestimating your team. Both Real and Barca are so ahead of the rest of the teams(except perhaps Bayern) that its not funny, and either team facing Milan would easily go through. I don't know, but i personally don't rate this Milan team. This is nothing like the Milan team that had an in form Gatusso, Pirlo, Seedorf and Kaka. Do you seriously think a midfield consisting of (a washed up)Van Bommel, Nocerino, Emaunelson and Boateng is comparable to that team?

I know. One of the best club sides of all time and Milan are full of bravado. That's built into their DNA for this competition, that they are inferior to no one. Well they are here. They are never favourites for this tie in any shape or form, with every player at 100% physical condition, but it's still only XI vs XI.

yes, Fred, I am serious - if you look at the players Milan has, separately, they may not seem much but as a team, as a tactical unit they are the toughest opponent Barca can have and Milan's chances to go thru are at least as good.
We played two games earlier this year - for the one at the Camp Nou Milan was still struggling to find a half-decent flow to their game as they had a very slow start to the season, which was evident in Serie A too.
In the second game, had it not been for a gift of a PK, which changed the momentum of the game exactly when Milan was controlling the play, and a rather uncharacteristic mistake by Nesta for the 3rd goal, Milan could well have won the game.

So, yeah, I do know well what I am talking about when I say that with a full starting 11, and match-fit, Milan has a better chance to make it thru than Barca ... and Pep knows it well too ;).

And, for the ones who missed the obvious - having a starter back doesn't count for much if they haven't played in 2-3 months i.e. not "match-fit", which is the case with Boateng, Nesta, and even Seedorf now, on top of missing TS, MvB, and likely Abate too, with Robinho not having played for several weeks too now. Look at it this way - if you take Pique, Alves and Xavi away from Barca's starting 11, while Iniesta is just coming back from a 3-month long injury layoff, who in their right mind would say they have a shot vs a Milan team virtually at full strength?

So, yeah, Milan's chances of going thru have been compromised to extent with all the missing/not match-fit players but even then Barca will not have an easy way thru ... you will see what I mean on Wed ;) ... in the mean time, you guys laugh as much as you want thinking that the the Milan from the 1st half in London vs Arsenal is the real Milan :klin:
