They look worse because of the CL. Next season they won't be there but they will be up top in Serie A most likely. Same with Schalke, they were awful in Bundesliga last season and look at them now. CL is a huge pressure for such teams and they can't sustain high league position, but they do get lots of cash. I don't expect them to go backwards after this season at all.
I don't think it's because of CL, their recent slumps in form has been without CL fixture near them. And they probably just wanted to qualify for the knockout phase. If anything, qualifying to the next round should be a huge boost. The pressure should be less demanding now that they'll play big teams and become underdogs.

They haven't played a CL tie in 12 matches. More likely is that teams see them as a big target now and play them like they are a big club, which they really aren't.

I for one think it'll be very hard for them to keep Lavezzi and Hamsik after this season, they both were unhappy in summer and wanted to move.
How do you know they were unhappy, did they say it?

Too many games for them, it is different to compete in 3 competitions and we've seen such fail from many teams. In Italy we've seen Fiorentina do the same thing, in Germany we've seen Schalke.

Their deluded supporters really do think they are a big club.
Of course they are not a big club, but if they keep their transfer policy right they are on the right road to become one. And this summer will be the most important one for them so we'll see how they deal with it.

Raiola was pushing for Hamsik to Milan, and Lavezzi stayed in Argentine longer than he was allowed, because he wanted a move. De Laurentiis was pissed off at him, it was all over the media in summer.
Exactly, it was all over the media.

It's media and their bullshit, somebody has to buy papers.

Napoli are nothing but a mid table team who qualified once for CHL and now think they are great. Good thing is that they returned fast to their natural habitat.
