Both played for Palermo.

I wonder how well Amauri would have done if he had joined Napoli isntead and vice versa.
Amauri had only one good season, and that had been before he joined us. Before and after that very poor. Just look at his goal/match ratio.

I heard it like 100 times in my life and I still don't entirely understand the words. I knew it was some dialect, now I see it was Neapolitan.

Maradona :touched: I would love to have been older in a world where Maradona was the big star in football.

Amauri had two excellent seasons at Palermo. Just looking up his goal scoring numbers means little.
Alright, two out of ten seasons were good but that doesn't change anything. Not a good recommendation to pay 25 mil for a striker who scored till that moment 60 goals in ten seasons of his career. And scoring is important if you are striker (prima punta).

He played really well for Palermo. Scoring goals from everywhere, looking like Cavani is now but not scoring as many goals.

Come to think about it, he played well for Parma as too. I don't get why he is being a complete retard about staying here when he could be getting as much money and playing for the likes of Marseille.

He was never worth 25 mil. Eto' was sold for 30, so do you really think there is only 5 millions difference between Amauri in 2008 and Eto nowdays.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito confirms he “did not accept” Edy Reja’s resignation after a chaotic day.
The Coach had already said he was unhappy after fans jeered the team in their 2-1 home defeat to Genoa on Sunday.

Reja met with Lotito for an hour this evening while his assistant took control of the training session, then the players who were about to go home were recalled for another meeting.

“It’s true, I did not accept the resignation and would not let the Coach go,” Lotito told Sky Sport Italia.

“As long as I am the President, the Coach will be untouchable. Reja just wanted to express his unhappiness at a city that does not love him.

“He is very disappointed at the negative climate that has been created around him despite the fact he is a man who has given a great deal to Lazio.

“I wanted to call the squad together so we can all close ranks around the Coach and he knows the club and players are with him.

“We will all begin again from Wednesday’s game with Cesena.”

The President also asked the squad to convince Reja to change his mind in that second closed doors meeting at the training ground, but reports suggest he is still unconvinced.

It is believed the tactician asked for more time to consider his future, but a Press conference is called for 11.00 UK time on Tuesday.

The list of alternatives includes Gigi Del Neri, Pasquale Marino, Roberto Donadoni and even ex-Inter Coach Rafa Benitez.
