De Laurentiis: On Rossi, “We got to know each other on the phone. He was born in America and doesn’t know Naples well, so I explained to him what it means to play for Napoli. He didn’t say no. That was a month ago and he hasn’t called me back, but I will call him now. I also proposed a transfer in January. Rossi is a nice boy and said he was honoured by this interest."

On Balotelli,
“I don’t know Balotelli personally, but I’m very fond of him. I love his extremely passionate way of approaching things, even if I think this passion could be developed better elsewhere before he comes here to explode the San Paolo. When he is capable of expressing his talent to the full, which I find to be extraordinary, then we’ll perhaps step forward for Balotelli.”

Poor man. He thinks his club is important to people other than Neapolitans.

Sampdoria opt for Romero

Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Aguero is on the verge of completing a move to Serie B side Sampdoria.

Doria have spent all summer looking for a new custodian and it seems that they have dumped the Alex Manninger option, Juve’s third-choice, in favour of the 24-year-old.

Romero is currently in Holland with AZ Alkmaar and will be netted by the Italians at a cost of €3.5m.

Romero will sign a four-year contract at Marassi and he should touch down in Italy at some stage on Saturday.

Doria were defended by Gianluca Curci last term before he returned to Roma at the end of the campaign.

Still, Romero would be a pretty amazing signing for a Serie B club, no?

So who do you guys think will be this years Sanchez? You know, a player that plays so good that his president will scream for 30m+? I say Hernanes will be even better next season and Lazio will ask for 35m.

I would say Abel Hernandez, but I'm not sure Palermo will be good enough to make him look great.
Both are great players actually so I won't be surprised if that happens.
