Lol. I believe its a huge myth these days. Back in the day, the Serie A was indeed a very tough league and one that had very little space and very organized defenses. It showed in Europe as well. But watching Italian teams play in Europe(CL or Europa League) you really don't notice that they're all that great defensively.
It's more the games against the lesser Serie A teams I was referring to - the ones where teams are just sitting back and looking to frustrate.

The bigger teams allow more space because they are focused on winning games and not just on stopping the opposition.

You look at how Napoli struggled against Siena in the Coppa Italia, then see the ease with which they were able to open up Chelsea.

Aye, it's a pity as I liked how he set his team up.

Initial suggestion seems to be that he was hacked off about Lazio cocking up the January mercato.

Can't really blame him for being pissed off about that.

What the hell was that, she sued Zlatan didn't she? She just walked in front of the car and reached out with her microphone hoping for what?

People notice Cavani speaking about their being less space in Serie A than there is in European game?

Interesting comment with regard to some of the debates about how certain players would get on in Serie A.

May also suit Juve (if they qualify) more playing in more open games, than spending heaps of time banging their heads against the wall that is the deep, well organised Serie A defence.
I saw that earlier today and immediately connected it to Juve's style too.

The games being more open in CL will defo suit Juve and it will result with Juve doing well in Europe. The lack of individual quality will result with Juve not doing excellent.
We will need those two or three +20m eur players that Milan and Napoli have in attack/midfield and we don't.

Cavani obviously isn't talking about the quality of those defenses. He means the way the teams defend. In Europe Napoli don't face 10 players behind the ball as they do against Siena for example. For a team that strives on counters, on speed and fast openings it suits much more to play against a team with great defense that plays open football than against a team with below average defenders that play catenaccio.
