Btw, its wishful thinking to underestimate Milan with stuff like they arent strenghtening their defence or midfield, for this season so far, they havent needed to, they lead the league by fielding a solid midfield and their defence doing well enough. They wont play 3 forwards much except weakest opponents. IMO this is just strengtening an already strong enough attack.
Cassano will bench Robinho mostly and it will be bussiness as usual. The trouble will be seeing what happens when its the reverse, Robinho/Pato benching Cassano.
Plus, the question is, has Allegri asked for Cassano? (he likes athletic/mobile players, Cassano is the opposite of that).

I'm with Jack on this. It's what follows after Cassano that scares me. I'm talking summer mercato.
Cassano comes free, Dinho leaves for free and Cassano's wages are at least 1/3 smaller than Dinho's. Pato is sold and with the Pato money they pay the transfer fees for Zlatan and Boateng (29m eur, I think). In such a scenario they have Robinho, Zlatan and Cassano in attack and 0 euro spent. Whatever budget they have for the summer will be used to buy midfielders and defenders.
To make this short, Cassano to Milan opens up a lot of possibilities. Some will say that Pato going out will be a big lose, and it will be, but that's what has to be done by Milan to make the team stronger (by getting good money for Pato). Even without Pato the attack with Cassano, Ibra and Robinho is a top attack, but Pato's sale could give the necessary funds for strengthening the other areas.

Ibrahimovic willld be 30 soon as will cassano, if Milan arent careful they'd fall back in the same siuation they once were.
Pato is the future of milan and at his best he could pull the whole team, kinda like ronaldo in his man utd days.
Belscuni is a billionaire im sure he's more than capable of buying players without needing to sell.

Pato is not very good when playing on the right instead of the center AND Ibra is ten times more effective that Pato in CF. Pato doesn't strike me as a player that would like to be an impact sub again.
Ibra is and will remain Milan's priority as he is the key to their success before anyone else.
Cassano replaces dinho at a much smaller wage and would be a better trequarista and probably the same on the left ... if he flops (which i doubt) then still no harm is done. Robinho is also unstable and cassano can do his job on the left or as a SS much better anyway.
In short, Pato is CF but Ibra is ten times better so he is on his way out. Robinho and cassano can interchange roles (on the left, SS and Trequarista) and both are better than Pato in any of these roles. With Pato's money.. Ibra and Boetang will be acquired and with a 30 mill budget in the summer, the back four can be reinforced. Thats a great cheap plan if you ask me.
