It's all agreed for next summer, but if Genoa are safely in midtable with nothing to play for and Inter are still in the midst of an injury crisis, I wouldn't bet against the deal being done in January.

He's a very good CB and a fairly indifferent LB.

If Inter had more midfielders fit, you'd probably see them put Zanetti to LB and Chivu into the middle. As it is, they may use Santon more and make Chivu-Lucio to normal CB pairing.

So Inter would probably give some fringe players on loan or some youth players to Genoa to smooth things over.
