So Eto'o new it, took the penatly and scored and tied the game...inevitably changing the entire Serie A table. So which team at the end of the season will go down to Serie B and which one will stay in the first division by a 2 point deficit? That dishonest unprofessionalism changed the way the entire league will end up at the end of the season...who knows, maybe Inter will no win by 2 points this year.

That is bull shit. If a player that dishonest can do that but Krasic gets banned 2 matches then there is something seriously wrong if Inter go unpunished this week as a result. I feel really sorry for Brescia who played with guts and determination the whole game and went for the win. So unfortunate.
As sweet as it would be Inter to add Eto'o too on the unavailable list, I really don't see how can you punish him for yesterday' penalty.

Juve take a free kick from 20 meters. The ball kicks someone in the wall (in the chest), the ref gives a penalty for a handball. The free kick taker and 5 Juve players saw that it wasn't a handball. Will you punish them all for not being honest? Then Del Piero converts the penalty and he, together with the other 5 players who saw that it wasn't a penalty, celebrate the goal.
Ban them all?

It's absolutely the same with what happened yesterday.

There was a situation this year with Inter when Lucio clearly dove, intentionally, and got a penalty. Now that's where FIGC showed their hypocrisy by not banning him.

P.S: Apparently Sneijder wasn't injured and he was subbed out because Benitez wanted to put more men in central midfield :(

Next Sunday it might be the first time in years that I support Milan when they play Inter.
Yesterday Inter were missing ALL 5 central midfielders (Cambiasso, Motta, Stankovic, Muntari, Mariga), the goalkeeper and now they added Maicon and Samuel to the list too.
Sooner or later Inter will get over the injury crisis and they'll start winning, so I hope that they lose pts at least while they have these injuries. Lecce and Milan is who they play in the next 7 days so forza those two.

If Milan lose pts today against Bari and on Wednesday to Palermo, then Milan beating Inter will be even sweeter.

Shudup

The ref's decision was shocking, but Eto'o didn't try to get a penalty. Had he told the ref that he wasn't fouled, I'd have praised him but he just did what he was supposed to. It's not comparable to Krasic' dive.
I don't see any difference. Wasn't Krasic banned for un-fair play? Wasn't Krasic banned for not admitting to the referee? Maybe krasic should have lied and told "I lost my balance, for that I fall".

Seriously, the rules are full of shit..

Krasic wasn't banned for un-fair play. If players got banned for "un-fair play" half of the players would be banned every game (for example kicking the ball a little bit after the whistle when your team is ahead). Krasic got banned for a dive that resulted in a penalty.

Don't expect anything from De Canio's team, he is probably the worst ever manager in Italy..

ermm, let's say Krasic told the referee at that moment, that it wasn't a penalty, that he lost his balance and fall, what would happen then?

Probably no penalty and no ban but I don't see how that's relevant. If the point of the rule is to ban players who dive and get a penalty (to discourage diving), then banning Krasic was clear. Remember how after the match many members on these forums said that Krasic is going to get banned for that dive? It's happened many times before. Now thinking about the situation with Eto'o, no one would have said that he's going to get banned if it wasn't for Krasic.

Thank you, in other words fairplay/not cheating.. Because of not doing that, he got banned..

Only few of you are getting what I am trying to say. FIFA rules are not enough, and are terrible to be honest, we saw how unfair and incomplete their rules are yesterday.

I don't know if you noticed, Eto'o dived before of that penalty, probably twice in the box. But the referee didn't whistle or yellow carded him. Which means, he didn't discourage diving!! But if he gave a penalty for that, Eto'o would have missed two games and probably 3. You get my point? All these are depended on Referee's mistake, the referee didn't make a mistake about the Eto'o's diving (before the actual penalty, not the one when Eto'o slipped on the ball), but in Krasic's case, the referee made a mistake, and Krasic paid the price, same actions by both players, but only referees' mistakes give the players ban. How about that crap?

I agree the rules are stupid and don't discourage unfair play enough. But saying things like "let's see if Eto'o gets a ban" or "Eto'o would get ban if he played for Juventus" are also stupid and not realistic.

And saying Serie A is clean, and are running so according the rules is stupid and not realistic too.. Actually not just serie A, the whole world. How can you guarantee me that Krasic's given penalty wasn't intentional? Milan was next match, and you can easily stop Juve with stopping Krasic, can you? you can't, no one can, because of these stupid rules that puts question marks in your head. As long as video technology is not introduced to the game, trust no one, and you are free to say whatever you want about Inter, referees and their cheating methods.. The whole control is in their hand, they can favor anyone the way they want, because no one can protect their clubs from the referees..

Cavani keeps scoring goals. A long haired, tall, South American from Palermo scores a lot of goals for his new club during the fall, remind you of anyone?
