OMG you mean Juventus will have to look for players out of only the top 4 or 5 leagues on the face of the earth?

We're Doooooooooooommmmmeeed.

Fuck sake, it's not like Serbia and Croatia are too far out and I know we don't want any more Brazilians etc. here.

I am for this, native talent is the best possible business move for Italian football as a whole, turning 15M imports into 4M homegrowns.

@Andy

What about the restrictions on who you can play in the SPL?

Are you saying that all fans of Scottish football clubs should therefore hate the Scottish National team?

Kissing in cars, feeding stray cats and building sandcastles all banned in Italy

Bans on kissing while driving a car, feeding stray cats and building sandcastles are among a rash of new laws Italians say threaten to turn the country into the ultimate nanny state.

More than 150 "public security" laws have been introduced since Silvio Berlusconi, the prime minister, granted extra powers to local councils to help them crack down on crime and anti-social behaviour.

In the latest episode in the fight to maintain "public decorum", Vigevano, a town near Milan, this week slapped fines of €160 (£130) each on a young couple who dared to sit on the steps of a local monument.

"It was really hot, so we just sat down for a moment," said Giada Carnevale, 24. "The only other alternative in the piazza is to go to a bar but there they charge you €5 just for a drink. We were just chatting – we weren't eating or drinking or smoking."

But the town's mayor justified the fine, saying the council spent precious time and money each month cleaning up after idlers on the steps.

Passionate Italians caught kissing in a moving car in the town of Eboli, south of Naples, face a €500 fine.

The coastal town of Eraclea, near Venice, prohibits the building of sandcastles on the beaches because they can "obstruct the passage" of people strolling along the strand.

If you are caught having a smoke on the white beaches of Oristano, in Sardinia, you can be hit with a €360 fine.

On the island of Capri, wearing noisy wooden clogs is banned.

In Bergamo, you can be fined €333 for feeding the pigeons, while Venice punishes the same offence with a €500 penalty. The town of Cesena on the Adriatic Coast extends the ban to feeding feral cats.

The Italian press has slammed what they claim is a return to the bureaucratic straightjacket of the Mussolini era.

"Kisses, clogs and beach balls – Italy, the country where everything is forbidden," railed a headline in La Stampa on Friday.

No specific restrictions on foreigners, though Britain isn't big on handing out work permits to folk from outwith the EU, generally.

You have to have three under 21 players in each match squad.

Are you saying that all fans of Scottish football clubs should therefore hate the Scottish National team?
What has prompted this question?

Scottish people are welcome to support the Scotland team.

Red is also not an accurate representation of millions of Scots.
Thank fuck for that.

Andy claims that because of this new rule restricting foreign players that Juventus fans should all hate the Italian NT. Its crap.
I don't think so. FIGC is the governing body of the Azzurri and the league. This is the same body of morons who sent Juventus down to Serie B. It's quite clear that these guys are the enemy of Juventus, even if we have some players that dawn the blue shirt. But that is their job. To Juventus supporters, it's not.

You're falling into the trap of thinking that anybody who supports Juventus must support the Azzurri, and clearly that isnt the case.

I think it is possible to hate a football association but still support the national team.
Oh I'm sure it is. Tell that to Andy, he is the one who is claiming that Juve fans should blame the national team for the actions of the FIGC
God I love Kyle.:D

And how is any of this the fault of the Azzurri?

Why did you bring up the demotion to Serie B when trying to convince me that I should hate the national team? I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt on this one and assume that you are not trying to pin any of that on the Azzurri because that is ridiculous.

I hate the FIGC as much as you but this is all on them, not the national team.

No I'm not. Point out to me where I said anything like this or don't make such claims.

Stupid decision, instead of doing the right thing and moving forward the italians are probably the only nation in europe (when it comes to football) are actually going backward with these decisions.

Really a stupid decision....
