La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that despite recent denials, Milan are looking for new investors.

Silvio Berlusconi has come under fire from Milan's fans in recent years for not spending enough money to keep the club competitive.

It's no secret that Berlusconi can't be seen lavishing money on his personal plaything while in office as Italy's Prime Minister.

However, the relationships Berlusconi has forged while in power could provide him with a solution.

Il Cavaliere is known to get on very well with Vladimir Putin, and La Gazzetta believes that Russia's Prime Minister could have sounded out Gazprom who have already invested in football.
