Few things with Adriano. First is that he has been incredibly comfortable in Rio, and can do whatever he wants because of his status at Flamengo. It got so bad he was dropped from the Brazil squad after being a certain to go to South Africa for months because of his lack of professional attitude. He'd also have to get over the disappointment of losing his spot there, but that could turn to positivity because Brazil will have a new coach after the world cup so he could get into the team for the Copa América, but I doubt it.

Secondly, last season he was incredible for them (Flamengo) but he has declined a lot since then and has been wandering around looking lost in games, so he has been very up and down since going to Rio.

Oh and he's very unfit, doesn't matter how much he weighs, he certainly isn't close to being the same beast he was for Parma and Inter when he was younger. That's something he will have to work on more than anything else in pre season if he wants to stand a chance in the CL, because otherwise he's going to collapse. He has the talent so that doesn't matter.

It depends on his motivation to perform well again but I don't see him being a success like you do. I hope he is good because I really like him as a player. Do you have an example of Ranieri changing a players behaviour? I can only think of his disagreement with Trez and he didn't change anything there.

I see your point. But I think Inter has a big role of destroying some players. I know it's his fault for doing that stuff but Inter always had some players going mental - like Recoba, Balotelli. They even had problems with Cannavaro and Pizarro to settle. I'm not saying he's going to be a top class striker but I think odds are good to see him score again, like in the old days.

His days at Brazil were predictable. He was having fun and I guess he never wanted to be involved with anything more serious. But seeing him coming there, he might change the whole attitude as Roma will be playing in Europe too. Maybe he wants to prove people, or Inter, wrong. His role might be very big and Toni will be leaving. He could easily become a starter there. If he catches it at the start he might keep the hole role and shine.

Who did he change? Trez had problems whole season, I think there's more behind it. Well, maybe not literally, but he can get some players going. He did it with Molinaro D) and even Legro played good. He made Menez shine while he had many issues, leaving training and everything. Players like Burdisso had a good season without many mistakes. But the thing he did with Menez can be an example and he'll probably try the same with Adriano.

Adriano is weird because it depends on a lot of things which only he can decide. Can't wait to see him every week again now.

Because when faced with the option of playing the simple pass to a teammate in a good position or attempting to dribble solo through 4 defenders he picks the latter far to often. He isn't crazy just idiotic and selfish.
