Canal+ 1 year ago when Zlatan was sold to Barca: They dropped the tv rights for Serie A, deemed it irrevelant immediately, litterally said so by their sports department CEO (funny thing to say about top 3 league, especially one that has lots of swedish fans). Lead to us here basically only being able to see 25% of Serie A on tv.
This season another lesser channel gets the full rights, yippe, but Zlatan is signed plus they lose EPL rights (need to compensate), and what do you know, they immediately get back Serie A rights (from its daughter channel). Even change the airing of the Napoli -Viola game to Milan-Lecce immediately when he was signed
Just clarifying their obvious focus to you. Doesnt mean much about Serie A at all, Inter won CL but I dont recall much fuss over that here in Sweden, just the regular reporting.
