It was a very nice first half. Even if it's obvious that both teams are far from their best, they played some nice football with lots of chances. Something one rarely sees in the EPL :p

He's got amazing talent. If he can add consistency to that he will light up the league.

But boy is he a diver :D
Ranieri killed him in the first half of the season buy man, in the second half of the season he was on fire. And now he's even better, in pre-seasons he kicked some butt.

Can't argue against that, he's surely one of the biggest divers lol

Preziosi hints at mystery man Saturday 21 August, 2010

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi reveals his spending spree is not over yet. “I'm convinced we'll sign an extraordinary talent, but I won't reveal his name.”

The Rossoblu have dominated the transfer market this summer with the likes of Luca Toni, Eduardo, Franco Zuculini, Miguel Veloso and Rafinha.

Let's just say we moved well. I spent around €50m, but still made a profit thanks to the sale of Leonardo Bonucci and the valuation of Andrea Ranocchia,” said the patron.

If something is wrong, then I will intervene to balance the books. There is a precise tactical plan, but admittedly at times I also act on instinct.

“I am also convinced that we'll sign an extraordinary talent, who in my view will do incredible things. But I won't reveal his name…”

There are reports the mystery man is Tottenham's Mexican international Giovani Dos Santos, who is also of interest to other Serie A sides.

Genoa even allowed themselves the luxury of buying Kevin Prince Boateng from Portsmouth to loan him out to Milan.

“We united our common interests and if he does well, we will make a nice profit from this deal.

Our policy is to invest in youth and some of them become immediate stars, while others take a while to deliver on their promise.

“Our objectives have not changed this season, as we still want to be in the top half of the table. Considering what we have done, it's not a utopia to dream of sixth or seventh place.

“Unfortunately in football today it is necessary to give up your idols. We did it with Diego Milito, we'll have to do the same if Veloso has a great campaign.”

    FI

    Exciting times for Genoa fans.

So Preziosi is paying for these transfers out of his own pocket? I'm assuming he has to contribute towards wages as well.
I think he means Genoa Cuz i think he acts as thier Director of Sport as well. That is why he said if something is wrong with the books then he will balance them form his persoanl wealth.
