So Gabriel, you think Inter should sell their best player last season, who has proven to be more suitable to Inter than Eto'o and who scored Inter's most crucial goals at the end of last season, and who happens to be 31, so he won't fetch much money in the transfer market anyway.

If the choice was between Milito and Eto'o., i'd cash in on the latter without a shadow of a doubt.

Depends upon the timing and size of the offer. I certainly wouldn't do it right now when there is very little time to spend the incoming money on a replacement.
I'm pretty sure a "dumb" team like Madrid or City would've had no problems offering +30m for him, i do agree it's not the right time now though, as i said i would've sold Milito and kept Balotelli.

They will work out something. My guess is that Kuyt will take Pandev's spot in the starting XI, while Pandev will take Balotelli's spot (Occasional starter and first choice sub).
Pandev gave to Inter what they lacked in the first part of the season. Someone who could take on players and help Sneijder in the passing game. Kuyt will give different qualities.

It's easy for them now. They had the winning team. Now they're just improving some details. Lets hope that Benitez will try to change more than just some details and fuck it up in the end by completely destroying a winning team.
I doubt it will happen, but I hope it will :D
Yea our main hope is that Benitez tries to change things around to distance himself from Mourinho's style and ends fucking things up.

IMHO inter's best player is Sneijder, you could argue that in his favorite position Eto'o would've banged the same amount if not more goals than Diego.

Hey, if Forlan's price was reportedly 25m i think some team would've offered 25-30m for Milito, probably City or Madrid anyway.

And i doubt Milito's ability to replicate his last season form under Benitez.

Ya, thats exactly what was on my mind. But Rafa doesn't like playing without wingers or wide men, he's never done it.
It would be very odd if Benitez changed Inter's shape.

Inter won everything playing 4-2-3-1 and Benitez was playing that system at Liverpool too, when everyone was fit.

No sense in changing.

Don't forget that Eto'o did play as a striker, for at least half a season. The first half of the season, Inter played a 4-4-2 diamond all the time, both Eto'o and Milito were upfront, and Eto'o kept on missing chances and scoring few goals. So in the end he was converted into a wingforward.

The only reason he might change is to keep Eto'o happy.

It's not a good reason though.

No amount of fuckking up can stop Inter from winning the title this season. He could fuck up bad in the CL though.
He doesn't need to fuck it up in serie A. He only needs to destroy the great team that Mourinho created.
Because if he manages to preserve that winning team with some minor changes, then not only this season but for the next 2-3 seasons we can expect Inter as a European super power.

He isn't quite used to play with another centre forward alongside him i would think, remember both Messi and Henry took wide positions in Barcelona's attack, i'm of the opinion that Eto'o will be better as the lone forward in a 4-2-3-1 than being one of the forwards in a 4-4-2 diamond.

Milito did great no doubt, but as i said i doubt of his ability to recreate his last season form, specially now that Jose's gone.

Also i think we will probably see one or two conflicts inside inter's locker room this season, as Benitez will have to deal with some big egos there and he's a downgrade to Mourinho in man management terms.

Funny. The last RAI poll suggests a lot of Italians think Palermo is coming in second. Or that at least they are Inter's best spoilers.

But they're pretty good about mangling elections down there. :D
