Yeah I know they are in crisis but I still think they are going to buy someone.I think they will spend 50% (otherwise fans will kill them probably) of it on someone and the rest will go to cover some part od debts/wages.Media exaggerate like always since they mentioned like 5 top players who are supposed to come. But they lost a lot with Kaka leaving them.If they don't buy anyone in January who knows if they will reach Champions League. And even if they do buy someone, player might need some time to settle.
Yes, 50% is the minimum they will invest. But if they get 80m for Kaka, then 40m for new players isn't that much, is it?
They certainly won't be able to buy Essien, Adebayor, Clichy and Benzema.

In January they probably won't buy anyone. Galliani also said that (not that we can trust him 100%).
Galliani made a good point. In January it's almost impossible to buy a world class player. First of all, teams don't sell unless we're talking about crazy money and second, transfers of great players take a lot of time and Milan have 10 days to do all that. If they buy someone it will have to be a second hand player, as Galliani said, and that's why they won't buy even if they sell Kaka.

No,not really. If they were not in financial problems 70-80mln euros to spend would be something else. But this way it really isn't...they can get max 2 players. And out of those you mentioned only Adebayor and Clichy could be bought(maybe, they would probably need to add some cash too).

That is a good point and it's fairly true. They can't re-call Gourcuff now right?Selling Kaka was a terrible move then. They aren't in that big crisis right now so how couldn't they wait till summer and keep him?Manchester is planning to build a team for the next season so I don't think they would mind bidding at the end of the season?Even with Kaka I think they don't have any chances to get Champions League spot.

I really don't get Man City owners, they want to buy Kaka and that's great for them, but on the other hand they are also buying Bellamy :wallbang: I really don't understand what team they want to build.

They are probably trying to buy anyone now to help them reach CL spot.

They will be after totally different players at the end of the season I guess.

Moratti openly criticises Mourinho
Monday 19 January, 2009
Inter President Massimo Moratti has laid the responsibility for the Nerazzurri’s shock defeat to Atalanta squarely on Jose Mourinho’s shoulders.

Inter were beaten 3-1 in Bergamo on Sunday afternoon and are now just three points ahead of second placed Juventus.

“I don’t think it is possible to see a worse Inter than the one we saw yesterday,” said Moratti. “Mourinho makes the choices that he wants and we support him.

“He decided everything, even on the winter preparation,” he added before turning to the week’s hot topic - the future of Kaka.

“What would I do if someone were to offer me £107m for [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic? I beg you not to ask me such questions. We will not be operating in the January transfer window.”

Inter will look to get their season back on track when Roma arrive in Milan on Wednesday for the quarter-final of the Coppa Italia.

Team and player stats at half season.
Before that, here's a comparison between our results this and the last year at half season.

We had a 10-7-2 (36:16) record at half season.
This season we have 12-4-3 (32:14)

We were 3rd, with 12 pts behind the leaders Inter last year, while this year we're 2nd, only 3 pts behind them.

This year we won more pts than last season at this same time. We conceded less, but we also scored less. Inter on the other hand are doing much worse this time.
But we mustn't forget that serie A is stronger than last year, much more competetive, that we played 6 CL matches this year and we didn't have the luxury to rest our players for 7 days between matches, and i believe we can all agree that there is (big) improvement in Juventus.

Now the stats....

The allowed shots on their own goal is particularly pleasing, Juve first with 56.
This meant that our defense are closing and locking opponents out efficiently ...

Alen, did you realize that if we don't count the Inter - Juve match, we end up with the exact same points as Inter, exact number of wins, draws and losses. Also the exact number of goals scored but we will be two goals better in goals conceded?

In case of a tie at the end of the season between Juve and inter. Who wins? Is the 1st tiebreaker game vs opponent, goal difference, playoff...

or in other words, if we had beaten them then, we would be in their position now and vice verse

Misleading stat.

Of all those passes, he has probably made two key passes.

And all our other central midfielders have had periods of injury this season.
