They're obviously selling Benzema and they want to re-invest some of the money on another profilic striker. Gila was unstoppable against Lyon in CL (i think he scored 3 times against them), he's the serie A topscorer and that probably made Lyon think that he's worthy of 25m eur.

Currently it looks like Fiorentina doesn't want to sell him, even though selling him will mean a ~10m eur profit on Gila. (they bought him for ~15m eur)

first of all gila is not worth that inflated amount offered by lyon. regardless if he is serie a's top scorer or not. that overestimation is made far too often and teams end up regretting it.

viola would be foolish to let this guy go as he is a difference maker on the squad, he needed the change from milan where even i thought he was overrated.

i doubt he is leaving to go to france of all places in the end

Milan got bad news about Nesta.

He didn't recover as they expected and now after Thiago Silva they want to buy Mexes. His price should be ~16mln euros.

U mean in the winter transfer window ?
16mln euros is not an awful lot considering Mexes's quality ...
But I doubt Gallaini will get the man.

Why would Mexes, playing in the CL move to Milan, playing in the UEFA and not title contenders?
This rumor is not new though. They want Mexes to replace Maldini once he retires so it was just a matter of time till something like this pops up.

They won't sign him in January but they will try to get him after the end of the season.

Mexes has been great so far and he's very good.I don't think Roma really wants to sell him but we all know they have problems with keeping good players.

Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham is so fit he can play at the top level for another six years - until he is 39 - according to the doctor who gave the 33-year-old his medical for the loan spell at AC Milan. (The Sun)

Who said Beckham wasn't a signing for the future?

Got to love the Milan Lab. :D
