Reports: Inter for Ronaldo mega bid
Wednesday 3 December, 2008
There are sensational reports in the peninsula that Inter are preparing a bumper bid for Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese superstar celebrated being crowned European Footballer of the Year yesterday.

But, according to the Corriere dello Sport, Cristiano is still unhappy at Manchester United after his dream move to Real Madrid fell through in the summer.

The paper claims that the prolific 23-year-old's agent Jorge Mendes has told Inter officials that Ronaldo is open to a move if the terms are right.

Mendes was at the centre of the deal that brought Ricardo Quaresma to San Siro and he could be a pivotal figure once more.

While Inter will need a vast sum of money to complete this improbable swoop, President Massimo Moratti has deep pockets and the considerable backing of giant tyre manufacturer Pirelli.

:spliff:
lets hope ronaldo goes to inter and chokes so bad

There was an interesting comparison in Gazzetta between Mancini and Mourinho.

After 14 rounds last year Inter were 1st with 34pts and goal difference 27:8. This year Inter are again first with 33pts and goal difference 22:8.
Mancini is slightly better. He wasn't defeated after 14 rounds, he won 1 pt more and his team scored 5 goals more, while conceding the same number of goals as Mourinho's Inter.

In CL Mancini had already secured the first place after 5 rounds with 12pts and goal difference 11:4. Mourinho's Inter has 8pts and goal difference 7:5. Mancini's Inter won 4pts more, scored 4 goals more and conceded 1 goal less than Mourinho's Inter.

Also, they talked about current Inter's team and how Mourinho is lately practically using "Mancini's players", apart from Muntari. The other big name signings made by Mourinho don't get any playing time lately. Granted, Muntari scored twice on the last two matches but Gazzetta says that Mourinho is more and more copying Mancini.

The league comparison falls down when one considers how much stronger Serie A is this season than last.

Inter may well be somewhat concerned about the CL records, though, given that I'm sure they chose Mourinho because they thought he would do better in it.

When all is said and done, Inter will be much the same as last season. They will win the Scudetto, but will fail to do anything of note in the CL.

Call me whatever you want but this lucky Mourinho wont continue winning sooner or later this season. I'm still gutted with their Udinese+Reggina victory.

Quaresma, Figo, Ronaldo, that would be fun.
I actually want the transfer to happen to see the fate of Mancini. I also want to see how three arrogant bastards in the shape of Zlatan, Ronaldo and Quaresma would function; Mourinho being their boss.

Yeah, those hurt. And so do Milan's last minute wins.
But that's what quality teams do, so i accept these late wins.

What i can't accept is that we're not doing that. On the contrary, we lost 4 pts after conceding late goals against Fiorentina, Napoli and Palermo (even against Inter we conceded in the 72nd minute and against Catania in 70th minute) and we couldn't score a late goal when we needed it against Catania, Sampdoria, Inter and BATE Borisov.

Mourinho beat Juve, that alone makes Mourinho better than Mancini.

Yeah true. The Napoli Fiorentina late goals against us also killed the fuck out of us. Inters time will come. It's up to us to pick the left points.
