The Italian season kicks off this evening in Rome in the traditional curtain-raiser, as league champions Inter go head-to-head with bitter rivals and Coppa Italia holders Roma.

The match will see the competitive debut of Nerazzurri coach Jose Mourinho, while Amantino Mancini and Julio Baptista are likely to play their first official games for Inter and Roma respectively.

“I’ll be at San Siro tonight and am really curious to see how Jose Mourinho will field a team he has been working with for just over a month,” Moratti told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We won the last two Scudetti, which doesn’t seem like such a small detail to me. In any case, we want the Super Cup.

“Both sides are very charged up and we’ll see two great tacticians go head to head. It’ll be a fantastic game.”

Moratti also spoke about the upcoming Serie A season, which kicks off next weekend, with Inter travelling to the Stadio Ferraris to play Sampdoria. The oil tycoon believes there are a number of teams capable of challenging for Inter’s crown.

“Roma have a consolidated style and proved over the past few years they belong near the top of the table,” he explained.

“Juve added a hitman like Amauri and are always tough, but the most surprising is Milan. They are full of new faces and that element of surprise is inevitably a little frightening.”

Inter have won the last two Scudetti on the pitch, but they were also awarded the 2005/06 championship by the Calciopoli courts.

clearly now that he has two more, he don't give a shit about the first one and he is trying to sound like the bigger man
aye but surely if it looks like a cunt, it sounds like a cunt, smells like a cunt and acts like a cunt then admitting he only "won" 2 scudetti does not make him any less of a cunt

No one watching the game?
I am.

Inter look incredibly strong ( or maybe Roma are weak ? ).
If Zlatan wasn't the king of missing chances, it could've been 3:0 by now.
Ibra is still their main man though, and aside from missing chances he's brilliant. Muntari also looks ok and he scored the goal.

Defensively Inter are super strong, even without 4 of their Cbs. The midfield does the job and they win 9 out of 10 balls in the middle of the pitch.
